Obituary: William P. Billy Mayse of Soddy Daisy went home to be with the Lord on , May 23, 2017. He was 75 years old. Billy was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. He was the founder of Mayse Construction . Billy was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church and a deacon. Billy loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. He was a mason and a shriner. He was a member of AGC and served on the AGC-Associated General Contractors board. He was the last recipient of the highest AGC honor given to a contractor, the SIR Award. He was also a member of the TRBA- Tennessee Road Builders Association and served on the board. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Morris and Ella Gray Mayse; wife of 50 years, Judith M. Mayse; brother, Lloyd ONeal Mayse and two grandchildren, Whitney and Britney Raines. Billy is survived by his sons, Bobby (Becky) Mayse and Todd (Pamela) Mayse; daughter, Kim (Matt) Hullender; grandsons, Kyle (Jamie) Mayse, Shane (Katie) Raines, Jason (Tiffany) Mayse, Richie Womack, Austin Mayse and Will Mayse; two great-granddaughters, Aubree Pauley and Savannah Mayse; sister, Judy Bagwell; brother, Dean (Barri) Mayse; brother-in-law, Wayne (Carol) Giles; sister-in-law, Thelma Giles and many nieces and nephews. Obituary: Charles Eugene Mayse, 80, retired thirty year employee of the U. S. Postal Service and resident of Osage Trail, died , 19, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical . services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Russ Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors at graveside provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Maury Hills Church Building Fund, 101 Unity Drive, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of condolence may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born and reared in Maury , he was the son of the late Luther Burton Mayse and Florence Hardison Mayse. He was a 1952 graduate of Columbia Central High School and served in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Mayse was a member of Maury Hills Church, American Postal Workers Union, and a former Mason. He enjoyed being an Agitator CB Radio Operator. Survivors include his wife, the former Norma Dooley of Columbia, whom he married 27, 1960; daughters, Donna Mayse (Paul S.) Varner of Buford, Georgia and Rhonda Mayse (John J.) Garman of Montgomery, AL; brother, Kenneth (Debbie) Mayse of Lawton, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Ronald (B.J.) Dooley of Franklin and James Kenneth (Cindy) Dooley of Summertown. He was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Demastus, Pallen Mitchell, Vera Uzzell; and brothers, James Mayse and L. T. Mayse. Obituary: MAYS, WILBURN H. (WIB) - passed away , 30, 2010 at NHC Oak Ridge. He was the oldest member of Third Creek Baptist Church and 32nd Degree Mason. Retired from Bondurant Brothers Co. after 35 years of service. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Preceded in death by parents, Hale and Ola Hinton Mays; wife, of 63 years, Mildred Dowling Mays; infant son, Gary; brothers, Robert and Roger Mays; sisters, Joyce Gresham and Arietta Wyrick. Survivors, daughter and son-in-law, Delene and Eddie J. Cooper; grandchildren, Allison Cooper, and Jacob Griffy; great-granddaughters, Addison Nicole Griffy and Cassy Lynn Griffy; sister, Norma Sue Herron. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Underwood, Dr. Ted Stallings and nurse Patty and Amedysis nurses, Lisa, Dianne and Jody. Also to the doctors and nurses at NHC Oak Ridge for all their love and concern during daddys final days and to his many friends and neighbors. Obituary: Viola Bevins Mays, 94, passed away on , 17, 2014, in the Brookhaven Manor. Mrs. Mays was born on May 7, 1920 in Coeburn, Virginia the daughter of the late Charlie Robinette and Sylvia Ramey Robinette. Mrs. Mays moved to Kingsport, Tennessee where she was hired by the local telephone company in 1947 and worked until of 1982. She was a member of Midfield Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Estle Bevins in 1940 and her second husband, Hubert Mays in 1993; two sisters, Juanita Dingus and Edith Kennedy; one brother, Victor Robinette; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Bevins. Mrs. Mays is survived by two sons, Hubert Bevins and wife Nancy and Carroll Gene Bevins and wife Barbara both of Kingsport, TN.; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; one sister, Carma Lee Davis of Newport News, VA; four step children, Gary, Steve and Sam Mays and Linda Perry; and a host of relatives and a great number of friends. service for Mrs. Viola Bevins Mays will be held , 20, 2014 at 8:00pm in the East Lawn Chapel with Rev.
