Obituary: Elaine V. (Geesey) McGinnis of Red Lion, went from Life to Life Eternal, after a lengthy illness , on , 13, 2017 with family by her side, at 8:50 am at Manor Dallastown at the age of 78. She was the loving wife of Kenton R. McGinnis. She was born on 18, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Estie Viola (Flinchbaugh) Geesey. Elaine was an administrative assistant at York Hospital in the Engineering Department for 22 years, retiring in 2005. A life member of Winterstown United Methodist Church where she was very involved as a former financial secretary, School teacher for the Toddlers and Nursery. She was the Leader of the Winterstown Kitchen Band and was a member of the Senior Choir. She graduated from Red Lion High School, Class of 1956. She and Kenton loved to travel and have been to more than 20 countries. Since 2005 they were snowbirds in Florida. She enjoyed sewing , making some of her own clothing and sharing her talents by making baby outfits for her nieces. Most times you could find her enjoying a good book, she loved to read. Besides her husband Kenton, Elaine is survived by her son, Kenton Buddy R. McGinnis, Jr. and his wife Ann of Harrisburg. A brother, Leon Jake Geesey of Red Lion and nieces and nephews, Kenny (Nancy) Kurtz, Kathy Brock, Lori Bates, Bruce (Robin) Geesey, Susan (Jim) Cleaver, Leon Geesey, Jr., Randy (Jeanie) Snyder, Jay Snyder, Timothy (Lynn) McGinnis, Cindy (Leo) Walters, Kirby Herrick and Russell (Terri) Herrick. A brother in law, Mike Herrick of Red Lion, Donald (Phyllis) McGinnis of York and her sister in law, Pam McGinnis of MD. She was preceded in death by her sister, Leona Haugh. Viewings will be on , 20th from 6-8 pm at Burg , Inc, 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion and , 21st from 10 – 11 am at Winterstown United Methodist Church, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton. A Service of Honor and Praise for Elaine will begin at 11 am, , at the church with her pastor, Rev. Mitchell M. Galloway officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Winterstown United Methodist Church, Fair Shares of Ministry, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton, PA 17322. Elaine was a wonderful loving, caring and devoted wife to Kenton for 56 years, and Mother to Buddy. Her Faith and spending time with her Family was important to her. Obituary: Derroll B. McGinnis entered into eternal rest after a brief illness on , 20 at his residence at 9:35 p.m. at the age of 76. Born in Winterstown on May 21, 1939, he was the son of the late Russell R. and Freida (Curran) McGinnis. Derroll was a technician at the former GTE, now known as Verizon, retiring in 1994 after many years of service. He was a graduate of the Red Lion Area High School Class of 1957 and was a Corporal with the United States Marine Corp., stationed in Hawaii. Survivors include brothers, Donald McGinnis of Round Town, and his wife, Phyllis, Kenton McGinnis of Winterstown and his wife, Elaine, and Dana McGinnis of Pasdena, Md. and his wife, Pamela; a brother in law, Mike Herrick of Red Lion; nieces and nephews, Randy Snyder (Jeanie), Jay Snyder, Timothy McGinnis (Lynne) Kirby Herrick, Cindy Walters (Leo), Buddy McGinnis (Ann) and Rusty Herrick (Terri); several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Herrick and Kathleen Snyder and her husband, Harold. Viewing will be , 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burg , Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, and Thurs. from 9 to 10 a.m. at Winterstown United Methodist Church, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton. A Service of Honor and Praise for Derroll will be on , 25 at 10 a.m. at the church. His pastor, Rev. Mitchell M. Galloway will officiate. Burial will be in Winterstown UB . In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Winterstown UM Church Going Green Project, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton, PA 17322. Derroll was a member of Winterstown UM Church all of his life, where he held numerous offices. He was the go to man, he was always willing to help in any capacity and knew the ins and outs of that church like the back of his hand. He was an avid golfer and a member of the AARP Golf League and Verizon Golf League both at Briarwood He also enjoyed traveling and baseball. Obituary: David W. McGinnis age 52 of Jefferson died , 5, 2016. He was born 25, 1963 in Fairfax, Virginia, a son of Samuel E. McGinnis and Judith Allen Adamson. He was educated in the Central Greene School District. Mr. McGinnis worked on pipeline construction with United Steel Workers Heavy Highway Division, most recently for Lineal Industries. He had also worked as a member of the Laborers Union Local 286. He resided in Greene since 1965 and was formerly a social member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Waynesburg. Mr. McGinnis was a loving father and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing , and motorsports. Surviving are his wife Lori Faddis McGinnis; his mother Judith Adamson of Waynesburg; his father Samuel E. McGinnis (Doris) of Sterling, VA,; his children, Shana Lea Puthuff of Waynesburg, Zachary David McGinnis of Mount Morris, and Chelsea Irene McGinnis at home; his granddaughter, Braelynn Nichole Ramsey; and his brother, Bill McGinnis and his companion, Liza Ziska of Irwin. Deceased is his step-father Jack L. Adamson. Friends will be received from 5 p. to 7 p.m. , 10, 2015 in Behm s Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Rev.
