Obituary: Salem - John Myzak, age 96, was born near Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, Canada to Wasyl and Anna (Burdenuik ) Myzak. He was the youngest of six children. John was in his late 20s when he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he met his future wife, Ann Schiele. were married in Minneapolis on 9, 1946. John was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. John and Ann moved to Portland, Oregon where John became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1949. had three children, Gary, Richard and Nancy. In 1963 the family moved to Lafayette, Oregon. John worked as an automobile mechanic but also loved farming on his farm in Lafayette. John and Ann retired, then moved to Salem in 1995. He was a great outdoorsman. He loved camping, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed taking his family on trips. John and Ann made many happy trips to Reno. also enjoyed playing Canasta at the family get-togethers. John had a great sense of humor and was always ready to help people. John was recently preceded in death by his wife Ann and his sister Elsie. John is survived by his sons Gary and Richard, daughter Nancy, and his three grandchildren, Mindy, Matthew and Mykylie. John is much loved and will be dearly missed.
