Obituary: Surrounded by the love of her family, Beatrice Dolly Morgan peacefully passed on 12, 2012 at the age of 83 in Portland, Oregon. Bea was a feisty lady who will be remembered for her kind and giving heart and her stubborn persistence to stand by her convictions. Bea was born in Oregon City, Oregon on 1, 1929 to parents Mary Knighton and Bennie Brown. She grew up on a house boat near St. Helens, Oregon with her 2 brothers and 1 sistes. Even as a young child Beas true talent came through; that being a doting caretaker to the elderly and sick. As a child she took care of her blind grandfather; often spending hours reading to him or describing to him the events of the day. Although she only attended school to the fourth grade she was smart as a whip and continued to self-educate herself through her passion for reading. She married young and had her son, Fredrick Lloyd Mann at the age of 18. Later she found a life partner with "Tex" William Orville Morgan and had her two daughters Mary and Pearl. Bea was the best kind of mom. She was kind, fair and loving but she also was strict and adhered to her own rules. She truly wanted the best for each of her children. It was important to her that her children know how to take responsibility and how to stand up for themselves. Although there was much joy in Beas life she did endure many hardships including the death of her beloved companion Tex. She was a strong woman and made it through that terrible time and eventually she found love again and married Robert Vigue. Bea was absolutely overjoyed to become a grandmother, often times attending the birth of each grandbaby. She was still strict and enforced rules but she also shared her energetic fun loving side with each child. Bea loved country music and when the mood was right loved to dance. She read avidly and was always up for a lively conversation with friends and family. She was a petite gal, but incredibly strong both in body and spirit. She was deeply loved by her friends and family and will be dearly missed. She is predeceased by her parents, partner, "Tex" William Orville Morgan, children Frederick Lloyd Mann and Mary L. Morgan and siblings, William Roy Tanner, Frederick Roy Tanner, Vernon Brown, Virgil Brown, Anna Sabin-Brown, Debra Brown, Mary Brown, Betty Jane Unger and Sandra Brown and grandson Dekum Lloyd Mann. She leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Pearl Boswell. Grandchildren, Timothy Lloyd Mann, James Mann, Christopher Morgan-Espinoza, Christina Morgan and Sonny Boyd. Great Grandchildren, Isidro Campovere, Dionicio Paz-Morgan, Wyatt James Martinez Keenan Espinosa and Jewel Espinosa. Siblings, Pearl M. Tanner, Bennie Joshley Brown, Douglas Brown, Andrew Brown, Ivan Brown, Daniel Brown and Stephen Brown and many nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends. |

Obituary: Anne Mildred (Hylland) Morgan was born 29, 1915 in Geddes, South Dakota to Andrew and Irene Hylland. She was raised with her three siblings, Oliver, Evelyn, and Francis. She spent the majority of her youth in South Dakota. On 22, 1936, Anne exchanged wedding vows with James L. Morgan in Tyndall Co., South Dakota. were married by the Justic of the Peace. The couple had two children, Darrel and Sharon. The family moved to Oregon around 1939. Anne worked for a short period of time in retail at Meier and Frank, but soon found her calling as a full-time homemaker. When Anne and James retired, the couple spent some time living in Lincoln City. Anne loved the Oregon Coast. also visited each US state, driving to the mainland states, and flying to Hawaii. Throughout her life, Anne was involved in a number of different community organizations and fraternal lodges. She also found joy in oil painting and writing poetry. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and was known to engage the family in many Christmas Eve games. Anne passed away 15, 2011 in West Linn, Oregon. She was 96 years old. She is survived by her loving husband of over 75 years, James L. Morgan; son, Darrel Morgan; sister, Francis Jones; five grandchildren, and several great, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Morgan; brother, Oliver Hylland; sister, Evelyn Dahlman; granddaughter, Jaymie Morgan; and great-grandson, Jeromy Judd. She will be fondly remembered for her distinct laugh, quirky sense of humor, and a unique shriek she would let out when she was surprised or worried that her grandchildren were playing too far out in the ocean. At Annes request, no formal services will be held. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions to a charity of your choice in remembrance of Anne. |
