Obituary: John Robert McBane (aka Jack) was 77 years old when he died. John lived in Gladstone, Oregon at his time of death with his beautiful wife Clara. He died at Legacy Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, Oregon. He left this world and a family that loved him more than words can describe on 11, 2011. He passed to a heart attack that happened on 7, 2011. John was born 29, 1933 in Pasadena, California. His mother was Louis Tohmsion and father was Keinith McBane. John had many people that were involved in his life he loved much. He talked about so many friends that it would be unfair to name some and not name all of them, if I was to do that you would be reading forever. John had an older sister, Shirley Taylor, and a younger brother, Micheal Tohmsion. John was married to one woman he loved more than words can describe. Clara McBane was his wife for a long and loving 53 years. John graduated from Avenel High school in 1952 where he was on the football team. Some of his most favorite memories were about his time on the football field with his friends who he looked at as family. John lived in California through his childhood. John and his family moved to Oregon in1991, where he lived out the rest of his life, with the exception of a short time in Texas. John was an avid sports fanatic. He loved all sorts of sports especially NASCAR. John also served in the Air Force for 20 amazing years. he left the military, he went on to do many other jobs- one being a taxi cab driver in California and in Oregon. John Robert McBane is survived by his wife Clara McBane of Gladstone, Oregon, his daughter Rhonda McBane of Gladstone, Oregon, and son Mitchell McBane of Tualatin, Oregon. He also had three grandchildren William Schneider II of Gladstone, Oregon, Michelle De La Cruz of Milwaukie, Oregon, and David McBane of Oregon. John was predeceased by his son, Jon McBane, sister, Shirley Taylor, and brother, Micheal Tohmsion. A memorial sevice is scheduled for , 29, 2011 at 1:00pm at Lincoln Memorial , 11801 SE Mount Scott Blvd, Portland. A committal service with military honors will follow at Willamette National at 2:00pm. You will be missed more than any of us can start to say. Your smile, your laugh, talks about sports, and just having somebody to go to when we needed to vent will be missed. We lost a great Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend and heaven gained a great man. Cant wait to join your softball team in heaven save us a spot! |

Obituary: Marlene(Wood) McAuley died 6th, 2015 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 77. She was born 5th, 1937 in Stuart, Nebraska to Albert Leslie Wood and Florence Rose (Kozisek) Wood. She was the oldest of three children, having two brothers, Delbert and David. As a young girl, she moved to Minneapolis, Kansas and then on to Portland, Oregon, where her father found work at the Kaiser Shipyards during World War II. She had a positive and cheerful countenance and was an avid reader, enjoyed walking, sewing, cross-stitch, and oil painting. Marlene attended Woodmere Grade School and Franklin High School in Portland. She had four children from a previous marriage: Carla Leslie, Lynn Marie, Rachelle Annette, and Gary Eugene. She married John McAuley on 16th, 1981. She worked for the City of Portland Finance Office as well as the Portland Planning Bureau for 32 years. Upon retirement, she and John enjoyed traveling the world, ballroom dancing, and spending time with their extensive family. Survivors include her husband John, daughters Carla Bird(Larry), Lynn Kahl(David), Rachelle Hazelton(Randy), and son Gary Moody(Patty), her brothers Delbert Wood(Kathy) and David Wood(Dana), as well as seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepchildren; John Jr., David, Steve, Deborah, Joe, Pat and their children and grandchildren. Memorial services will be held , 14th, 2015 at 10:00am with a viewing at 9:00am at Lincoln Memorial located at 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, Oregon. Interment at Willamette National . under the direction of Lincoln Memorial , Portland, Oregon. |
