Obituary: GALLION | Edgar Lloyd "Noot" McCray, age 82, of Gallion, died 7, 2016. Services will be 2 p.m. , 10, 2016, at Memory Chapel with Rev. Hank Achison officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel , A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. , 10, 2016, at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Ruth McCray; and his brother, Clarence McCray.Survivors include his daughter, Terri Lynn McCray; son, Scott McCray (Marianne); sister, Lillian Broadhead; and brother, Watson McCray; grandchildren, Anna McCray Tilley, Laura McCray Holdbrooks, Mary Kathryn McCray, Daniel McCray, Luke McCray and Harry Williams; and great- grandson, Rhett Tilley. Edgar Lloyd "Noot" McCray was a good man that strived to put others before himself. He had many struggles in his life, but he was always grateful for the blessings that God had given him. He overcame many obstacles to be a faithful and loving provider for his family. He loved to hunt, trotline fish, and garden. He was a simple man that reminded his family and friends daily of the important things in life. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. We are thankful that Noot can hear well now and his body is whole because he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member at Spencer Nazarene Church in Brent, Ala. and also at Gallion Baptist Church in Gallion, Ala. Pallbearers are Daniel McCray, Luke McCray, Garrett Tilley, Harry Williams, Pace Holdbrooks and Randy Hallman.Honorary pallbearers will be Hospice of West Alabama, The Seniors at Gallion Baptist Church, Dr. Craig Buettner, Douglas McCray, Danny Broadhead, Charles Estes, Members of Spencer Nazarene Church and Stan McCray. |

Obituary: William Francis McCraw, 90, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on , 14, 2015. He was born on 19, 1924. Mr. McCraw was a registered professional engineer and was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after a 30 year career. He was a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps. He coached American Legion baseball and enjoyed many other sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Francis and Alma Shelton McCraw, and his sister, Frances Jones of Hopewell, Virginia. Mr. McCraw is survived by his wife, Clara; their children, Monte (Judy) McCraw of Tyrone, Georgia, Carol (Gary) Unruh of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Cynthia McCraw of Birmingham, Alabama and Dr. Barry (Mary) McCraw of Russellville, Arkansas; sister, Col. Doris Cobb of San Antonio, Texas; and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Reverend James McCraw, their three children and spouses; Jerry and Theresa McCraw, Tina and Ed Matune and Tracy and Lisa McCraw, her five grandchildren; Anna Maria Crews, Michael McCraw, 2nd Lt. Daniel McCraw, John Matune and Allison McCraw, and one great grandchild Lacey Crews. Laverne’s legacy is one of an inspirational and full life and was the matriarch and centerpiece of our family. Obituary: Raymond Glenn McCrary, Jr. \ was born 6, 1959 and passed away peacefully on 27, 2014. He was 55. He was born into the loving family to Ray and DeLois McCrary. He was the only son among three sisters. Known to all who loved him as Ray Boy. He grew up in Eight Mile most of his life until he moved to Wilmer. He was a valued employee of MAWSS for over 30 years where he touched the lives of so many. He grew up in Myers Memorial Baptist Church where he learned to love the Lord and others. He later attended Shadowlawn Baptist Church and was a member of Park Baptist Church. Ray Boy loved Alabama football, Saints, and Braves baseball. He loved his family and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Haley Suzanne McCrary and his mother, DeLois Dossett McCrary. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Donna Leach McCrary of 29 years; two children, Maggie Rae McCrary and Blake C. McCrary; father, Raymond McCrary, Sr.; three sisters, Janet (Steve) Biggs, Becky (Gary) Middleton and LeAnn (Robbie) Jackson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends who loved him. services will be , 31, 2014, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Radney in Saraland.
