Obituary: Anne Ferrell Murchison of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on 21, 2016, at the Grace Living in Norman, Oklahoma, at 75 years. Anne Ferrell Murchison was born on 31, 1940, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Clifton Chiles and Ruth Vernon (Kennybrook) Ferrell. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Norman, Oklahoma, attending Norman High School graduating in 1958. Following her education she moved as a young adult to Dallas, Texas, where she became a legal secretary. She married Clint W. Murchison on May 3, 1975, in Dallas, Texas, and they made their home in Dallas. He preceded her in 1987. Following Clints death she moved to California and later moved to Frankston, Texas, on Lake Palestine, and later moved to Temple, Texas before moving to Norman, Oklahoma, to be near her daughter. As a widow she made her lifes mission to serving the Lord, teaching bible studies, speaking at conferences all over the world, supporting her church and many other ministries including her prison ministry. She took many short mission trips to places such as India, Africa, Jamaica, Norway, and Germany. She authored two books and countless other bible teaching pamphlets, she also appeared on numerous television broadcasts and radio programs while teaching the Gospel. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, friend and mentor. Her work mentoring women was a very important part of her Christian life; she taught about forgiveness she stated forgiveness freed your soul, which became one of her main teaching focuses. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy West and husband Brad of Norman, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Bradley S. West II, and Ryan Daniel West and wife Lluvia both of Norman; one granddaughter Lauren Robinson and husband Brandon of Norman, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Jaden Anne Robinson, Riley Kay Robinson, Ryan Daniel West Jr., Elle Scott Robinson, and Austin Eli West; one sister Ruth Scott of New York City, New York; and Step-children, Clint Murchison III and wife Helen and family, Burk Murchison and wife Elise and family, Robert Murchison and wife Maggie, and Coke Anne Murchison Saunders Wilcox and husband Jarvis Wilcox and family. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Frank Monroe Heavner Jr. Memorial Services are scheduled for , 13, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas, Texas. Burial will follow in the Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas. There will be a reception to following the service at the church. A memorial has been established with the Alzheimers Association and family request to give to this memorial in lieu of flowers. |
