Obituary: Cynthia Ann Moore, 63, of Raleigh, NC (formerly of Atlanta, GA) passed away on 25, 2014. A celebration of Cindys life will be held on , 10, 2014, at BrownWynne , 1701 East Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the WAKE COUNTY SPCA, 200 PETFINDER LANE, RALEIGH, NC 27603 IN MEMORY OF CYNTHIA (CINDY) MOORE. Service will begin at 5:00pm. Visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 - 8:00pm. She is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Elizabeth Deaton Moore, and son-in-law, James (Jim) Wickman. Cindy is survived by a daughter, Wendy Michelle Wickman and 3 grandchildren, Hubbard, Kuper Todd, and Cynthia Ann (Annie); sister, Sheila Moore Cason, nieces Pamela Jean Cason, Julie Cason Pegram (Ron) and great niece, Hannah Rae Pegram. Family members also include Vernon R. Cason, Wayne Dupree, Lisa M. Solomon, and a long list of friends who touched her life and her familys lives. Cindy retired from Avaya Telecommunications, an arm of Lucent Technologies and AT&T. She made Raleigh her home in 2002 where she spent the rest of her days to call NC her home. Here is a sampling of the many things family and friends have shared about Cindy: She loved her family.....including the extended ones, and she had many. She loved her daughter very much. Always inquiring about how she was doing and what was going on in her life. She enjoyed spending time with her grand kids. She would talk about them often, including her very special great niece, Hannah Rae Pegram. She loved her dogs and cats, (Samantha, Rocky, Rosey, Scruffy, and Pretty Girl). Cindy was a big advocate for animals, especially dogs and cats. She enjoyed reading all types of books and it was not uncommon to find 5 - 10 books from her local library throughout her home. Novels, nonfiction, gardening and cookbooks were among her favorites. She loved all sorts of music. She loved to dance. She enjoyed all outdoor sports and was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and the Carolina Panthers. Golf was a favorite to watch as well. She enjoyed gardening, planting herbs and was a huge help in the yard. At her home, you could always find several bird feeders nearby. Cardinals, Chickadees, and Towhee would frequent her patio to stop in and visit for a while. Georgias Lake Lanier, Lake Hartwell, and North Carolinas Falls Lake as well as the Florida and NC beaches were fun times out on the water. She loved boating, water skiing, floating and within the last year, kayaking on Falls Lake with her niece Pam. Did we mention shes a superb cook? Even her deviled eggs were a favorite at social gatherings. In fact, it is rumored by some that these are the best deviled eggs to be had in the Southeast. Cindy loved to entertain with friends and family. She enjoyed social dinner parties with close friends and neighbors. Laughter and fun was had by all. She enjoyed a handful of board games, cards, charades, and Pictionary. She even took part in Easter egg hunts with her grandchildren and great niece. Cindy was known to speak her mind whether you wanted to hear it or not. Much like the family she surrounded herself with. We all had something to say. She loved people. She would strike up a conversation everywhere she went. Just a simple comment like, Isn it a beautiful day! She had much compassion for all. She had a soft spot in her heart for people and animals in need. She was beautiful, smart, and a joy to be around. Her laugh would always make you smile inside and out. She had her own natural sunshine. Most important, Cindy loved God. She especially enjoyed the teachings of the Word of God by Joyce Meyer ministries. We know she is at peace and at home with our loving GOD. We love you Cindy. We will miss you. We will always keep you close in our hearts. We know you are watching over all of us.
