Obituary: Rex Mobley 1964 - 2021 Dallas – Rex Arnold Mobley, 57, passed away tragically on 12, 2021, in Mecklenburg . The family has comfort in knowing that Rex is with our Heavenly Father. He was born in Gaston on 15, 1964, to Terry and Patricia Austin Mobley. He was a native of Dallas, NC where he grew up. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Rex was a dedicated family man; loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed attending gun shows, fishing, hunting, and he loved animals of all kinds; cars, and having bonfires. He was an avid Raiders football fan and loved to have fun. Rex worked at Republic Service in Charlotte. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Terry and Pat Mobley; his wife of 20 years, Susan Payne Mobley; his three wonderful children, Jennifer Lawson (D.J. Anderson), Alyssa Sisk (Michael), and Caleb Mobley; the apple of his eyes were his grandchildren, Olivia Lawson, Braxton Hughes, and Paizley Sisk; a brother, Ty Mobley (Theresa); sisters, Rita Lingafelt (David) and Lisa Thrams (David); along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 p.m., , 18th at Withers & Whisenant Chapel with Reverend Leroy Mobley officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Lora Mobley and C.E. (Pop), and Frances Austin. Obituary: Nelda Mobley,64, died 23,2015 at Mary View Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. Nelda, the seventh child of the late R.L. and Nellie Rogerson Mobley was born 22,1951. Nelda graduated from Williamston High School. She worked in several areas of the medical field. She started at Clark's Drug Store in Williamston and her last job was filing medical records online for a Florida company while living in Portsmouth. While working full time, Nelda completed an associate degree in medical records. She lived in Martin , New Bern, Nags Head, Florida, Portsmouth and last returned to Martin to the home of J. B and Ruby Coltrain. As a small child she attended Christian Chapel and at age 9 she was baptized at West End Baptist Church. As a teen she attended Macedonia Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, watching Blue Bloods on TV and being with her granddaughter. As a child she managed to get her sisters in trouble with some of her cute comments when the four older girls were supposed to be going to sleep. Nelda learned a strong work ethic from working on the farm. ln addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew, Slade Alessi and a great-niece, Lael Meath. She is survived by her two sons, Gary Taylor, Jr.(Marilyn)and Robert Taylor(Tasha) plus her pride and joy, Dynasty Taylor, her only grandchild. Nelda is survived by 5 Mobley brothers: Bob(Rachel)from Thomasville, GA, Billie from Virginia Beach, Roger(Nedra) from Barnwell, SC, Kenneth S. from Ocean lsle Beach and Rickey L. from Williamston. There are 4 surviving sisters: Maxine Ouellette(John), Ruby Coltrain(JB), and Janice Clark(Ronnie) all from Martin and Shelby Alessi from Dunedin, Florida. Nelda also left 57 nephews and nieces and number of cousins. Memorials may be made to your local church mission fund or Lottie Moon Christmas offering at Memorial Baptist or West End Baptist Church. |

She was born 7, 1922, in Waxhaw, NC, and was the daughter of the late David Ward and Ardelle Sims Dunlap. On 4, 1942, she married John Roland Mobley of Gastonia, who preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rickey Ward Mobley; a daughter, Hilda Jane Mobley; two brothers, Whitney Dunlap and David Dunlap; and two sisters, Janie Baldwin and Isabel McMahon. Left to cherish her memory are children, Keith (Jan) Mobley of Knoxville, TN, Carmen M. (Danny) Jackins of Statesville and Patti M. (John) Loner of Mooresville. She was a loving grandmother to Heather M. (Rick) Gray, Kristen M. (Tim) McKellips, Andy Jackins, Amy J. (Stephen) Estes, Ted Jackins, John Fraley, Matthew Fraley, Rusty (Chrislin) Mobley, Ryan (Kristin) Mobley, Reid Mobley, Reagan M. (David) McCracken, David Loner, and Katybeth L.
