Obituary: Martin Rolf Mauch, of Indian Trail, North Carolina, formerly of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away evening, 15, 2015, at his residence with his family by his side. He was 72 years old. Born 29, 1942 in Leonberg, Germany, Martin was a son of the late Ernst Jakob Mauch and Anna Schopf Mauch. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Martin retired from Shurtape Technology in Hickory. He attended Hopewell Baptist Church and had a passion for sports. In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters, all of Germany. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Thelma Mauch; daughter, Lisa Wright and husband, Jim; grandson, David Taylor and wife, Michelle, of California; and granddaughter, Abby Wright of Indian Trail. He is also survived by three sisters in Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. , 20, at Hopewell Baptist Church Legacy Campus on Hopewell Church Road, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Dr. Lee Pigg and the Rev. Brian Austin will officiate. Interment will be held 3:00 p.m. in Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. Obituary: John William (Bill) Mauch, Sr., age 84,. of Charlotte died 6, 2010 at CMC Hospital in Pineville. A visitation will be from 2:00-5:00PM , 10, 2010 at Forest Lawn West . A service to celebrate his life will be at 11:00AM at Trinity Church of The Nazarene, 6031 Tuckaseegee Road in Charlotte, Pastors Mike Barefield and Bill W. Mauch, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West with Military Rites. Mr. Mauch was born 28, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas son of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Eva Wilner Mauch. He was a member of the Trinity Church of The Nazarene, attended Brookville High School in Kansas and graduated from the Burton Institute in Charlotte, served in the US Army during WWII in the 82nd Airborne, D and served in the European Theatre. He was a member of American Legion Post #221, retired after 32 years from Pelton & Crane as a foreman and later owned and operated Riverside Landscaping Service. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Frances Kinney Mauch, daughters, Karen M. Sain (Lewis) of Lake Wylie, SC and Mary Jo Storey (Johnny) of Gastonia, NC, sons, Reverend John (Bill Mauch, Jr. (Margo) and Tom Mauch (Louanne) all of Charlottte, l5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, sister, Neola Swanson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and a brother, Dan Mauch (Dorothy) of Hendersonville, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Theodore (Ted) Mauch of Charlotte, sister, Leona Catherine Lovett and a brother, Don Mauch. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Obituary: William Allen Matzke 70, died 1, 2014 at First of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, NC.
