Obituary: Ms. Patsy Belle Martin, 76, of Morganton, went to her heavenly home on , 8, 2015 at Burke Hospice and Palliative following a period of declining health. Patsy was born in Burke on 14, 1938 to the late Lemuel Lon Martin and Mae Elmore Martin. She had a great love for animals, making people laugh, and working at the Bible Book Store in Morganton for 30 years. She always felt that working at the book store was her mission in life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister Pansy M. Crowe and another sister, Ruby M. Keller. Survivors include her sister Ruth M. Cannon of Morganton; a special friend Shirley Carswell of Morganton; brother-in-law James Crowe of Morganton; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service for Ms. Martin will be held on , 12, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Service with Pastor Donna ONeill officiating. Interment will follow the service at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton. The family will receive friends on 12, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Heritage Service in Valdese. Memorials may be sent to Burke Hospice and Palliative , 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690 or Burke Friends for Animals , 417 Kirksey Dr. Morganton, NC 28655.
