Obituary: Donald Allen Marshall, age 66, passed away peacefully , 7, 2015 in Pfafftown, North Carolina. Don enjoyed coaching Soccer and Little League Baseball. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his children and grandsons and golfing with friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah Maynard Marshall; his daughter, Shelley Marshall Chester; his son, Scott Allen Marshall both of Winston Salem; son-in-law, Kurt Patrick Chester; and his grandsons Marshall (Mac) Allen Chester and Evan Allen Chester. He was preceded in death by his parents Eva Allen, and Oscar Edward Marshall. The Memorial Service will be held , 12, 2015 at 2PM at Frank Vogler & Sons , 2951 Reynolda Road. The family will receive friends and family following the service. Memorial Contributions can be donated to Cancer Services of Winston-Salem, 3175 Maplewood Ave. Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or Make a Wish Foundation, 1131 Harding Place Charlotte, NC 28204. |

Obituary: Mr. Charlie Ray Marshall, 88 of Goldsboro, passed away on 12, 2016 at Genesis in Mt. Olive. Born on 30, 1927 in Rowan , he was the son of the late Harvey and Elsie Weaver Marshall. A graduate of NC State University, he was retired from Borden Manufacturing in Goldsboro. Mr. Marshall served his country in the US Navy, serving in the Pacific Asiatic Theatre. Those left to cherish is memory is his wife of 66 years, Rena Osborne Marshall, daughter Deborah Marshall Heath (Troy) of Kannapolis, son Timothy Ray Marshall (Alice) of Statesville, Randy Eric Marshall (Deneen) of Apex and Bryan Keith Marshall of Four Oaks, NC. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Darren, Melissa, Laura, Christopher, Carrie-Louise, Erica and Matthew and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon and Alivia. A graveside service will be held on at 2:00 at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove with Rev. R. J. Hammond, minister. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 209 E. Mill St., Landis, NC 28088 |
