Douglas is survived by his wife; Lorraine Macomb, son; Doug Macomb Jr. and wife Jana, daughters; Patricia Macomb, and Stacy Preisel and husband Tim, grandchildren; Jake, Charlie, Brooke, Kaileigh, and Timmy Douglas, brother; Patrick Macomb, and numerous other friends and family. Obituary: Irene Nichols Macom, 91, of Charlotte, died , 24, 2012 at her home. She was the daughter of the late John L. and Mary Jane Sexton Nichols and wife of the late Everett Macom. Mrs. Macom was a member of West Side Church of Christ for more than 35 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly by her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Everett Macom (Yolanda); Carolyn Walters (Van), Marilyn Howell (Jim), Jim Macom (Valerie) and Connie Brady (Durant); 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; brother, Dan Nichols, sisters, Ruby Fairchild and sister-in-law, Doris Jones. services will be held at 2:00 PM , 27, 2012 at Forest Lawn West Chapel. Obituary: Patricia (Pat) Rose MacNeal, 69 of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on , 1. Born in Hartford, CT on 14, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Katherine Rose (Congdon) MacNeal. She is survived by her her son, Eric Krauth of Philadelphia, PA, brother, Kevin and sister-in-law, Rose MacNeal of New Bern, niece Natalie MacNeal and her husband Joshua of Portland, CT, her loving cousin, Deborah Bogoslosfki of Windsor Locks, CT and several other cousins. Pat and her family moved to Middletown, CT when she was 3 years old and attended local schools. When she was a Junior in High School, her family moved to Cromwell, CT where she graduated from Cromwell High School. She received a BS in Elementary Education from Eastern Connecticut State University and was a second grade teacher for many years. She later changed careers and worked as an office Administrator for Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT in their X-ray Department and later as an Office Manager at the International Association of Sheet Metal Workers Union in Rocky Hill, CT where she retired from in 2010 and moved to New Bern to be a caregiver for her father after her mothers passing. For the past 7 years, Pat lived in Fairfield Harbour. She was a volunteer with the Fairfield Harbour Hospital Auxiliary Group. Pat was a communicant of St. Pauls Catholic Church in New Bern. There are no calling hours. Friends are welcome to attend a mass celebrating her life to be held at St. Pauls Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Rd, New Bern, NC on , 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
