Obituary: Mr. George Donald Mace, age 75 of Marion, NC, passed away at Hospice of Rutherford , Forest City, NC on , 11, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born on 16, 1938 to the late Mr. Newton Harold Mace and Mrs. Lilley Mae Arrowood Mace. Mr. Mace was preceded in death by a spouse, Mrs. Mary Belle Mace; two brothers, Mr. Jerry Mace and Mr. Danny Mace, one sister; Mrs. Violet Stamey and a grandson, T.J. Talley. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Shirley Flack Mace of the home, daughters Helen Clark and husband Clifford of Nebo; Mary Mace and husband James of Marion; Judy Meeker and husband Gerald of Monroe, NC; Kandra Alexander and husband Brian of Lexington, NC.; Shirley Brooks of Marion, Glenda Cole and husband Dan of Marion, and Gail Atchley and husband Joe of York, SC. Three sons survive, Grady Brooks and wife Kristan of Burnsville, Toby Talley and wife Anna of Marion and Donnie Talley and wife Angie also of Marion. He is survived by two brothers; Juel Mace and wife Elizabeth of Marion, Loran Mace and wife Carolyn of Granite Falls, NC and two sisters; Barbara Clark and husband Wayne, and Sarah Virginia Love of Marion. Mr. Mace is survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. His family was the love of his life. services will be conducted on , 14, 2013 at McCall Kirksey Chapel at Marion, NC beginning at 3:00 PM. Rev.s John Cope, Brian Alexander and Mr. James Mace will be conducting the services. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Burial will follow the services at Chapel Hill Baptist Church . Flowers are welcomed and appreciated. Those wishing to make memorial donations are asked to make them to either Hospice of Rutherford , The General Fund at Dysartsville Baptist Church, or Gideons International. Obituary: Doris Jean Mace, of Marion went to be with the Lord, , 29, 2014. Miss Mace was born in McDowell to the late George Phillip Mace and Annie Odell Ownbey Mace. Miss Mace attended the East Marion Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and making crafts. She was a beautician and owner of Doriss Beauty Shop in Marion. Her memory will be cherished by her sister, Irene Mace, of Marion; Special neighbors, Woody Cranford& Family, Mack Cranford & Family, Doug & Jean Taylor, and Gene Honeycutt & Family, all of Marion; A host of cousins and friends will also cherish her memory. Obituary: 5, 2016 Marion, NC Billy Wayne Mace, age 71, of Marion, NC, passed away on , 4, 2016 at Mission Hospital St. Josephs Campus in Asheville, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Mace was born on 4, 1945, in Elizabethton, TN., to the late Charlie Mack and Grace Grindstaff Mace. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marion and was retired from Baxter care. He was known for his love of music and line dancing, as well as working on cars and collecting model cars. He loved his family very much and adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Surviving Mr. Mace are his wife, Margie Walker Mace; sons Terry Mace and wife Angie, of Pleasant Gardens, NC, Jarrod Mace of Marion, NC, and Timmy Vess and wife Sharon of Marion, NC; daughters Lavonda Woodall and husband Clayton of Panama City, FL, Rebecca Buchanan of Marion, NC and Frankie Beaver of Black Mtn., NC; a brother, Rodney Mace and wife Debbie of Arizona; a sister, Brenda McKinney and husband Tommy of Marion, NC; a special friend, Linda Sutton of Old Fort; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on , 8, 2016 at 3:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marion with Bishop Robert van Brederode officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at Oak Grove in Marion.
