Obituary: Donald B. Morrison passed away , 1, 2016. A visitation will be held at 10 am , 4, 2016 at Parkway located on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland. A celebration of his life will follow in the chapel at 11 am. Don was born 13, 1933 in Utica, Mississippi to the late Eric Donaldson Morrison and Rosemary Butler Morrison. He graduated from Utica High School in 1951 where, among other things, he played football and basketball. He recently enjoyed a homecoming celebration of Old Utica High School Graduates. He attended Mississippi State (later known as Mississippi State University) and graduated in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree. While at MSC, Don was President of the School of Science, President of the Class of 1955, and was listed in Who’s Who in American Universities and s. He was the business manager of the school annual, President of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and was a member of the Scabbard and Blade drill team. Following graduation, Don was commissioned into the US Army as Second Lieutenant. serving two years of active duty, Don remained in the Mississippi National Guard until his retirement in 1975. In recognition of his service, he received the Mississippi Magnolia Medal, the highest honor bestowed by the State of Mississippi. completion of his active duty service in the US Army, Don attended the University of Mississippi School of Law and graduated in 1960. While at Ole Miss, he served in the Campus senate and was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Don was a member of the Hinds , the Mississippi State and the American Bar Associations. His primary expertise and concentration of experience and service was in the area of trucking operations regulated by the Public Service Commission. In his retirement years, Don was an avid gardener. With the help of his trusted assistant, Richard Burns, he planted and harvested a variety of flowers and vegetables from his back yard garden. He took great pleasure in distributing his bounty to his friends and neighbors. Don was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church where he was a faithful member of the Inquirers class. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rosalene Morrison Clifton. He is survived by his nephews Jason (Erin) and Christopher Clifton. Pallbearers will be Richard Burns, Jason Clifton, Chip Hunt, Rob McArty, Billy Templeton, and Dick Weatherholt. Interment will follow the funeral service at Utica , in Utica, Mississippi. Obituary: Charles Chuck Gilbert Morrison, Jr., 66 years old, passed away 18, 2017. He was born on 27, 1950 to the late Charles and Faye Morrison of Memphis, TN. He graduated from Oakhaven High School in 1969 and married Rose Mary Nauta on 23, 1973. Chuck was an avid hunter, fisherman, and master of the grill. He worked for ADT Security Services for over 30 years and Security Fire for 9 years. Chuck also opened his own restaurant, Uncle Chucks in Olive Branch, MS. Obituary: Aileen Walter Morrison, of Jackson, Mississippi, died peacefully surrounded by family on May 8, 2012, following a three-month battle with cancer. Aileen was the beloved wife of Larry Kent Morrison; wonderful mother of Stacey (Robert) Gaines of Jackson, Kristi (Chris) Henderson of Jackson, and Jim (Mitzi) Morrison of Oxford; loving Grammie of Lauren, Ashlie, and Haley Henderson and Mia and Tyler Morrison; dear sister of Louise Campbell and Julia (Lane) Allen; and daughter of the late James and Aileen Walter. Aileen grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, where she graduated from Murrah High School in 1960. Following high school, she attended and graduated in 1964 from Mississippi University for Women with a degree in accounting. At MUW, she was a member of the Rogue and Black List Social Clubs; elected campus favorite and cheerleader; and a member of Copy Cats and the MEH Lady annual staff. Following college, she and several of her college friends moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where she began her career as an accountant, met her husband of 46 years, and welcomed her daughters, Stacey and Kristi. She and Larry moved to Jackson in 1974 to be closer to family and where their son Jim was born. For nearly 70 years, Aileen enjoyed her family, friends, church activities, traveling, and taking care of her beautiful yard. She loved playing bridge, traveling to Oxford for sporting events, having girls trips with her sisters and friends and all things Mississippi. Throughout her life, Aileen blessed all who knew her with her wonderful sense of humor, amazing selfless heart, and unwavering faith and love for her family, friends, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family extends their special thanks to her First Baptist Church of Jackson School friends; University of Mississippi Medical , St. Dominic Services and Hospice Ministries medical staffs; and her family and friends who made her last days more comfortable.
