Obituary: Floyd Wendell Mock, 89, of Fort Smith, departed this life on 17, 2011 in Barling, AR., to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born May 16, 1921 to Archie Eldon and Nellie L. Shaw Mock in Elk Springs, CO. He received a degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines and was an employee of Arkansas-Louisiana Gas for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and he was a Charter Member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Ardith R. Mock of Barling; two sisters, Lita Carpenter of Terreton, Idaho and Amelda Tompkins of Fruita, Colorado, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean White. service will be , 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Edwards Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn all under the direction of Edwards . Obituary: Ardith Rhyne Plunkett Mock, 91, of Fort Smith, died 24, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born 21, 1923 in Fort Smith to Lewis Edgar and Pearl Ethel Walton Plunkett. She was a Charter and former member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith where she and her husband served as Youth Directors for many years. She loved life and had many interests; she was an artist, enjoyed preparing gourmet food, was a talented ceramicist, and loved crafts and hand work of all kinds. She retired as an employee of Social Services. She is survived by one niece, Dian McDonald of Alexandria, VA; three great nieces, Modena Spears of Lethbridge Alberta, Canada, Melinda Spears of Edmonton Alberta, Canada, and Melanie Law of Red Deer Alberta, Canada; and a circle of close friends including, Dale and Wina Whitson of Fort Smith and Maxine Donaldson of Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd W. Mock and one niece, Hilda Langlois. service will be , 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn all under the direction of Edwards .
