Obituary: Robert E. McLean, formerly of South Portland, ME, passed away on 22, 2013 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA. He was the son of Charles C. McLean and Madeline (Studley) McLean, born on 13, 1919 in South Portland, ME. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Natalie (Winslow) McLean, and brother, Charles. He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (McLean) Paganucci of Hanover, NH and Marcia (McLean) Brown and her husband, Peter Brown of Groveland, MA; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Bob graduated from South Portland High School in 1937, Portland Junior 1937-1938 and graduated from Bentley in 1940. His accounting career began in 1940 - 1949 as a public accountant with Millet, Fish, & Dresser except for his four-year service in the U.S. Army during World War II as First Lieutenant, Coast Artillery Corps. 1942 - 1946. From 1949 - 1967 Bob was employed as Treasurer of Monmouth Canning . In 1967 through 1985 he was Treasurer of WCSH-Radio & TV with related responsibilities at WLBZ Radio & TV in Bangor, WRDO Radio in , Congress Square Hotel Co., Congress Square Garage, Inc. and Rines Real Estate . For 22 years Bob served as Treasurer of the Woodfords Club founded by his wifes grandfather and was a life member of the club. An avid golfer, Bob was a member of the Portland Country Club for many years. He also enjoyed bowling, receiving many awards. There are no visiting hours scheduled. A memorial service will be celebrated at Jones, Rich & Hutchins 199 Woodford Street Portland, Maine on , 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Phillip Shearman officiating. Obituary: Leota Mclean Old Town -Leota Harmon Moors Mclean, 95, died peacefully on 7, 2010. She was born on 6, 1914 in Mars Hill, Maine, the first child of Ray and Gladys (Lunn) Harmon. She spent her early years in the then went to Bangor and graduated from Eastern Maine General Hospital School of . She worked as an RN for several years and then joined her first husband, Forest K. Moors, Sr., in his insurance business in Old Town. Leota was involved with the community belonging to Eastern Star, Neighborhood Club of Old Town, and Old Town United Methodist Church. She was also involved with Brownie and Girls Scout programs and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Leota is survived by her son Ken Moors and his wife Laureen, who lovingly cared for her for 8 years in their home; and her daughter Suzanne Rares and her husband Joe of Wellington, FL; her grandsons Benjamin Moors and his wife Sylvia, Chad Moors and Eric Rares; a step daughter Joan Hale; four step grandchildren and their spouses; twelve great-grand-step children; brother-in-law Nate Currier, sister-in-law Connie Harmon and brother-in-law Clifton Moors. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Forest who she spent 38 wonderful years with; her second husband, James Mclean who she spent 20 wonderful years with; her sisters, Lucille Vineer and Rebecca Currier; her brothers Calvin Harmon, Raymond Harmon, and Phillip Harmon. The family would like to give their special thanks to Leotas special friend, Alfreda Savoy. A funeral service and interment will be private. Obituary: David Lloyd McLean, USAF MSgt, Retired of Banning, California passed away on 4, 2013, at the Veteran's Hospital in Loma Linda, California. He was 81 years old. David McLean was born on 15, 1931, in Millinocket, Maine to George and Grace McLean. David is survived by his wife Margaret Hisako McLean, their two daughters, Joyce McLean-Liepsch and her husband, Dieter of Germany and Diane Gaspard and her husband, Ken of New Hampshire; two granddaughters, Amanda and Lindsey Gaspard and his siblings, Hazel Thompson, Ellen Phillips, Jean Barrick and Lawrence McLean and numerous nieces and nephews. David attended Stearns High School in Millinocket, Maine and was a graduate of Loma Linda University with a BS in Respiratory therapy and a Master's of Public . David McLean was one of Maine's youngest pilots, obtaining his license at the age of 15. He joined the U.S. Air force in 1949 and served for twenty years in Japan, Korea, Germany, France and various locations in the United States. David honorably retired in 1969 with the rank of Master Sergeant. From 1978 until his retirement David was the clinical supervisor for Respiratory at Loma Linda University Medical . He was on the clinical faculty at Loma Linda University teaching respiratory therapists, nurses and home care specialists. David lectured for the Respiratory Society, the Veterans administration and the American Lung Association. He published numerous articles in nursing and respiratory care journals. David joined the heart surgery teams which traveled to Vietnam and Saudi Arabia to perform hundreds of open heart surgeries. David was a member of the American Association of Respiratory and the California Society of Respiratory . He served on the board of directors, executive committee and professional advisory committee for the American Lung Association of San Bernardino . He received numerous awards including the Parke-Davis Literacy Award presented by the American Respiratory foundation. David was a finalist in the Showcase of Excellence of the Foundation for Excellence in nursing. He was also a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Memorial service , 17, 2013, at 10:30am, at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California, followed by a small reception at Weaver Mortuary. Burial will follow at Riverside National , staging area #4, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California, at 1:45pm, with military honors by the U.S. Air Force.
