Obituary: AUBURN - Dorothy A. McIntosh, 90, of Lisbon passed away at Clover Manor in Auburn on 14th. Born in Lisbon , ME on 7, 1925 the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Toth) Ouellette. Dorothy married her husband Burton McIntosh on 22, 1944 and they were married for 63 years before he passed in of 2008. Together they raised their family of two sons and a daughter. She worked at the Farnsworth Mill, Worumbo Mill, and 18 years at Geiger before her retirement in 1987.Dorothy loved cooking, having the family over for meals and getting to visit with the grandchildren. She would frequently talk about her ancestral French and Czechoslovakian heritage which she was extremely proud of. Swimming, dancing and music where true loves of Dorothy which she often used to entertain her guests. Before losing her husband they would make weekend trips to the Samoset Resort, Downeast Maine, and New Brunswick or she could be found taking rides around her home town visiting sentimental locations. Dorothy was also an avid shopper spending time looking for the right items to add to her collection or gifts for her family. She is survived by her son Dennis and Carmen McIntosh of New Gloucester; a daughter Janice McIntosh of Woolwich; and son Blinn and his wife Corinne McIntosh of Lewiston; a brother Ernest and his wife Lucille Ouellette of Auburn; two sisters Madeline Junkins of Lisbon Falls and Claudette Karkos of Virginia; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Burton; 5 sisters Jeanette, Frances, Laurette, Martha, and Constance and a brother Raymond. Donations may be made to: Androscoggin and Hospice, 15 Strawberry Ave, Lewiston, ME 04240.
