Lucille Ann Paris Lu Myshrall, native of Cooksville, KY, and resident of Baton Rouge, LA since 1960. At age 91, she went to be with the Lord on 2, 2015 at La Maison Leisure Living. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks on , 5, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm and resume on , 6, 2015 from 12 pm until funeral service at 2 pmm. Interment will be held in Greenoaks Memorial Park followed by a reception at Greenoaks Life Celebration . Survived by brothers, Ed Paris of Versailles, MO and Dean Paris of Bloomington, IL; sister Ruth McClure of Gibson City, IL; beloved daughter, Carolyn Carter Springer of Baton Rouge, LA; sons, Steve Myshrall of Baton Rouge, LA, Dave Myshrall of Walker, LA, and John Myshrall of Columbia, MO; Nana" to 13 grandchildren, Todd Carter, Britney Piner, Doug Carter, Alexis Breedlove, Ryan Carter, Dustin Myshrall, Stephen Myshrall, Clint Myshrall, Brandon Scully, Connor Myshrall; Jonathan Springer, Joseph Springer and Aimee Patane; daughter-in-laws, DeeDee Myshrall, Terri Myshrall, Sharon Myshrall, Phyllis Loveland; and son-in-laws, Shannon Springer and Ray Carter; 20 great-grandchildren; many other loving relatives and friends. Preceeded in death by parents Clint & Minnie Paris, brothers Arval & Harvey Paris, six other siblings who died at birth, granddaughter Courtney Myshrall, and her loving husband of 67 years Joseph Roderick Rod Myshrall. The daughter of a farmer who lost everything in the great depression, she grew up poor and helped raise her younger siblings while her mother suffered from tuberculosis. At age 8 she held her infant brother Harvey in her arms as he passed away from measles. She worked many jobs to help the family including modeling for a local department store. She graduated from Cooksville High School (Cooksville, IL) in 1943 where she excelled in sports and academics. She met Rod, who had recently returned from his WWII tour, thought he was a pest but fell in love the first time they danced together. loved to travel, dance, were members of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, she was an excellent bowler and golfer, member of Fairwood Country Club, a great cook and first-class daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the matriarch of our family and always made everyone feel welcome and loved. A sweet, loving, generous person who will be greatly missed but whose legacy will live on for many generations to come. The Myshrall family would like to offer our sincere love and thanks to all of the staff at La Maison Leisure Living in Denham Springs, LA for their kind, compassionate, loving care first of Rod during his final months, and then Lu during her final months. At age 92, he went to be with the Lord on , 2, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Rod was the Stearns High School (Millinocket, ME) 1939 Sr Class President, outstanding student and star athlete; played semi-pro football, baseball, basketball; played college football, baseball, basketball at Higgins Classical Institute (Charleston, ME), NE Missouri State Teachers (Kirksville, MO), Colby (Waterville, ME), and Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL) graduating in 1952; turned down the Brooklyn Dodgers to study medicine, which was interrupted by WWII; served with the 8th, 12th and 15th USAAF's, 97th BG (Heavy), 341st BS; 50 Daylight Combat Missions in the MTO; Tail Gunner aboard the famed B-17F "Thunderbird"; one of only twenty-seven WWII Aerial Bomber Gunner Aces in US Military history; reported MIA; Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, 12-Oak Leaf Clusters, and over a dozen other awards; VFW member; retired from State Farm Insurance in 1995 after 43 years; President of Fairwood Country Club and it's Men's Golf Assoc; volunteered many years promoting the LSU-Fairwood Womens Collegiate Golf Tournament; hit a hole-in-one; played in the New Orleans Open Pro-Am with Tom Watson. He often said the moment he saw Lucille Paris he knew he was going to marry her. Rod and Lu loved dancing, golfing and traveling together. A kind and gentle man, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his legacy will live on for many generations to come. |

Obituary: Gods garden has need of a little flower. It had grown for a time here below, but in tender love he took it above, to a more favorable climate to grow. Stefan Myrick a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and resident of Bluff Creek, Louisiana, passed away on 12, 2017 in Metairie, Louisiana at the age of 28 years. He was preceded in death by Grand Parents, Henry Myrick, Helen Myrick on his fathers side and Ann Stimac on his mothers side. Also his uncle Jeremy Wendt, and cousin Brooke Stimac. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Elizabeth Myrick, and his daughter Baylie Myrick. His Grand Father Charles Lea Stimac and also he had numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks on 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm-8:00pm. services will be on 17, 2017 at Greenoaks at 11:00am- 12:00pm for viewing and at 12:00pm services will begin. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Stefan will be remembered by his smile and the way he made people laugh. He never met a stranger because he could talk to anyone and leave an impression of himself on whomever he met. He liked to hang out with all his friends, but most of all he loved being with his beautiful daughter Baylie. Stefan will be missed and always be remembered for all his good qualities he had to share in life. He was very much LOVED! |
