Obituary: Mildred C. Moon, 84, of Clinton, Iowa passed away on , 11, 2015 at Mercy Medical - North. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. A private graveside service and burial took place at the National in Rock Island, Illinois. Mildred was born 22, 1931 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of James E. and Allie B. (Rodgers) Bailey. Mildred was united in marriage to Reverend Norman F. Moon in Pikeville, Kentucky in of 1958 - Norman passed away in 1994. Mildred retired from Mount Saint Clare college in Clinton after many years of service, she was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church. Mildred is survived by three daughters - Brenda of Sparks, NV, Estella of Atlanta, GA and Katherine of Clinton, IA; one son - Joseph (Sandra) of Clinton, IA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; one sister - Edna Barner of Oakland, CA; with many nieces, nephews and special friend Erlyne Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three daughters, two grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. |
