Obituary: Lorene E. McGowan, 89 of Huntington passed away at 3:45 a.m. on , 16, 2017 at the Oakbrook Village in Huntington. Lorene had worked in the Kitchen at Millers Merry Manor in Wabash for many years during the 80s. She was a member of the St. Marys Catholic Church. Lorene also liked to travel and see new places. She enjoyed eating at McDonalds and she loved to cook. Lorene was born on 30, 1927 in Wabash, the only daughter of Leo and Mary Margaret (Green) Christie. She was united in marriage to Joseph J. McGowan on 19, 1952 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death on 7, 1977. She is survived by her Daughter Mary Green of Huntington. Visitation will be held on , 22, 2017 from 9 to 10:00 a.m. at the Myers Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Service will be held on , 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myers , with Father Tony Steinacker officiating. Interment will be at the Falls in Wabash at a later date. Obituary: Betsy L. McGowan, 68, of Liberty, died on , 27, 2014 and Reid Hospital in Richmond. Betsy was born in Milan, Indiana, on , 17, 1946, to Herman E. and Helena Clara Bockhorst Jobe. She graduated in the 1965 class of Connersville High School. Betsy married Arlus Mac McGowan on , 20, 1988. Betsy worked at housecleaning and together with her husband owned and operated McGowan Trucking. She was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church in Connersville. Betsy enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Betsy is survived by three sons: Bruce Reece of Jacksonburg, Ohio, Clyde Reece and wife Dawn Renee of Richmond, and Marty Ridge and wife Kim of New Paris; two daughters: Ruth Ann McNally of Liberty, and Debora Sue Phillips and husband Mike of Richmond; a sister: Linda Lundy and husband Bob of Connersville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He owned and operated McGowan trucking for many years, Arlus attended The Church of God and Peace Lutheran Church in Connersville. He enjoyed trucking, money and The price Is Right.
