Obituary: Mary J. Nana McDonald, 92, of Evansville, passed away , 2, 2016, at West River Campus. She was born 15, 1923, in Muhlenberg , KY, to the late John Moses and Ruby Noe. She was a graduate of Graham High School and Westside Beauty . She was a hairdresser and worked at Wandas Beauty Salon for over 20 years. Her clients were like family to her. She worked out of her home until she retired at the age of 75. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Henry McDonald; five siblings; and her parents. She is survived by her four children, Kaye (Bill) Villines, Sue (Stan) Word, Wayne (Missy) McDonald, and Joanie (Mark) Daywalt. Nana was blessed with 14 grandchildren whom she thoroughly enjoyed, Cindy Staples, Greg Villines, Tami Wilke, Steven Villines, Derrick Word, Jeremy Word, Amy Wathen, David McDonald, Jenny Pearce, Amanda McDonald, Ryan Myers, Josh Myers, Adam Daywalt and Robin Daywalt; and 21 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her a lot of joy. The family would like to thank the caregivers at West River for their patience and good care when it was not easy to do so. Thank you to the housekeeping staff and to all the nurses and techs for a job well done. Thank you also to her Gentiva Hospice team for their great care in her last days. Mom will be missed by many, but we are very grateful that she is now at peace and reunited with family that went before her. services will be held 10:00 AM , 7, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by her nephew, Rev. Barry Noe, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Obituary: Juliet Hippensteele McDonald of Ft. Wayne, passed away peacefully , 16, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born 29, 1942, in Coldwater, MI, Julie was the daughter of the late Dr. Ralph O. Hippensteele and Geneva Edwards Hippensteele Sweeney, R.N., of Fremont, Indiana. her graduation from North Side High School in 1960, she began her career at Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Co. as a secretary. In 1972 she married Larry C. McDonald, who encouraged her desire to achieve a college degree. While working full time, she completed a B.S. degree in Business Administration in 1983, and received an MBA from Indiana University in 1985. serving as Manager of Pricing; Credit and Collections; Financial Services, and Director, Strategic Planning, she was appointed the first woman Vice President at Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Co. in 1987. She was President of the Summit Club from 1986-1990, and an active member of the Council of Business Women and Erins House for Grieving Children, and served on the Embassy Board. She is listed in 1990-1991 Whos Who in the Midwest. Surviving is her husband, Larry C. McDonald of Ft. Wayne, brothers Steven A. Hippensteele of Strongsville, OH, and John A. Hippensteele of Ft. Wayne; daughter Georgia Comstock and 3 grandchildren, in Boulder, CO, and loving nieces and nephews. Services are 3:30 p.m. on , 19, 2011, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W.
