Obituary: HANNA CITY ~ Jewel I. Moyers, 76, of Hanna City, passed away at 5:20 p.m. , 19, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice in Peoria. Born 9, 1940 in Peoria to Arthur and Lenor (Trigg) Moyers, he married Debby (Warner) Evans on 10, 1986 in Hanna City. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Zac (Jamie) Evans of Pekin; four grandchildren, Robyn, Aaron, Cody and Briar; one brother, Rev. William (Cheri) Moyers of Naples, FL; and former sister-in-law, Edie (Mike) Kindermann of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Evelyn; and one nephew, Ryan. Jewel served in the United States Army in Germany from 1963 to 1965. He was a longtime Mason in Peoria and a volunteer at Wildlife Prairie Park. Jewel drove a feeder truck for UPS, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed playing and building dulcimers (mountain and hammer) and attending dulcimer camp in North Carolina. He was a member of Hanna City United Methodist Church. His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. , 23, 2016 at Hanna City United Methodist Church. Pastor Bob DeBolt and Father Howard Barch will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date at Texas Station in Trivoli. have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley s & Crematory in Pekin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to OSF Richard L. She was born on 10, 1961 in Springfield, the daughter of Harold and Loretta (Norman) Jimison. She married George Moyer, Jr on 1, 1987 in Springfield and he survives. Besides her husband George, she is survived by her mother, Loretta Jimison of Springfield, a son Andrew Moyer of Livingston, a daughter, Vanessa Packingham of Springfield, 3 grandchildren, Dominic, Trinity and Brinleigh Packingham, 5 brothers, Tony, Billy, Bobby, Gary, and David, and 3 sisters, Kim, Pam, and Lisa. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Jimison, and a son, George Moyer III. are under the direction of Bisch and Son , 505 E. Allen, Springfield.
