Obituary: Long-time Tucsonan, Shirley Marie Moriset passed away in Tucson on the 18th of , 2016 from natural causes, at the age of 84. Shirley was born in Belleville, Illinois, the daughter of Christian A Marx and Hazel M Marx nee Watson , on the 5th of May, 1932. In 1950, Shirley married James (Jim) A Moriset and they had three sons; Stephen, Dennis and James, all born in Illinois. In 1962, Jim and Shirley and their three sons moved west to Phoenix following the storied U.S. Route 66. In 1967, the family again moved, this time to Tucson. Shirley finished raising her sons here in Tucson, all the while working outside the home. The boys all graduated from Tucson high schools then made their own lives, striking out in many directions. However, each of them periodically gravitated back to The Old Pueblo, sometimes for years at a time. The boys remained close to their mom and all three were in town to support her in her last days. Also present was her son, from down the street, Bob Bookman Oldfather. Bob was just one of several boys who affectionately called her Mom. And always at her side was her granddaughter, Stephanie Justen and grandson J.D. Moriset. In addition to her three sons, she is survived by; her brother, Thomas Marx and sisters, Kathleen ant and Maurine Trolinger, all of Illinois and Missouri. As well as, 32 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, many of whom attended her funeral. Shirley will be remembered by many as the manager of the Tandy Leather Store on Broadway and later on 22nd St. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Jim who had earlier managed the Broadway store. She and Jim were avid bowlers and played in several leagues at the Camino Seco Bowl. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended several wards, all on the East Side. Services will be held on the 24th of , 2016 at the chapel of East Lawn , 5801 E. Grant Rd. followed by her entombment, there, next to Jim. Rest in peace, Me-me, you will be missed by many. |

Obituary: Robert Stanley Morine, age 78 of Phoenix, passed away suddenly on 12, 2016. He was born in Minneapolis, MN to Stanley and Jeannette (formerly Linke) Morine. He grew up in Minnesota with his brother Rick. At age 17, Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps and honorably served his country as an Antitank Assault man. he returned to civilian life in 1959, he remained proud to be a Marine. On 2, 1960, Bob and Donna Mae Morine became husband and wife, resulting in 4 children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their marriage lasted over 51 years, until Donna passed away on 6, 2011. Bob is also preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Amanda Buesing. During his professional life Bob was in business with his father for over 20 years and continued to work in the floor coverings business after his fathers retirement. In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities, as well as movies and travel. Of course he enjoyed his family and kept a special place in his heart for his dogs. He will be remembered as person who was sure to speak his mind, and his family will often smile as they remember his enthusiasm for that miracle product, Duct Tape. In recent years Bob became a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and it was there that he met his special companion, Kay Schubert. He is also survived by his children, Rob (Jenni) Morine, Jean (Mark) Justin, Joan (Curt) Buesing, and Tom (Mary) Morine; his brother Rick; grandchildren, Brandon, Ben, Madelyn, Emily, Monica, Owen, Chet, Josh, David, Elizabeth, Ashley and Alexia; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Jayden, Tori, Hudson, Madison and Felix. A memorial mass will be celebrated on , 7/21/2016, at 9:30am in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish, 3801 E. Greenway Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85032. Committal Services following, at 11:00 a.m., in the National Memorial of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
