Obituary: William (Bill) age 67, passed away on 16th, 2017 after a long battle with colon cancer. Born in El Dorado, KS on 21, 1950 to G. Bernice (Ridgeway) and Lein A. Martindale. Bill graduated from El Dorado High School and attended Butler Community and Wichita State University. He received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas and accepted an associate professor position at Montana State University (MSU). He married Lori Calahan on 18, 1984. built a home and a family together north of Bozeman in Springhill Community. Together they raised sheep, cattle, llamas and two children. He had many adventures haying, camping, and buying and fixing up apartments. Bill, Lori and the family spent countless wonderful hours riding horses and mules in Montana and later in Arizona. Bill was a true worker at everything and after 28 years he retired from his teaching position at MSU to pursue his passion of ranching at his Locomotive Butte Range near Ryegate, MT. He and Lori split time between the ranch and their Springhill home near Bozeman while wintering in Apache Junction, AZ. He treasured his many friends in all three locations He is survived by his wife Lori, son John, daughter Teri (Hartman), son-in-law Ross Hartman and granddaughter Roslyn (with a second granddaughter on the way) and his sisters, Laura (spouse Bob Boyer), Leinetta (spouse Sol Evans,) and his brother, Richard. A memorial service will be held at Melcher Mortuary on , , 19th at 4pm, located 6625 East Main St. Mesa, AZ 85205 (480-832-3500). The funeral service will be held later next month at Springhill Presbyterian Church in Bozeman, MT. under the direction of Melcher Mortuary Mission Chapel & Crematory, Mesa, AZ. |

Obituary: Wyatt: def. "Little Warrior" Leader, Guide, Brave Warrior. US Army Spc. Wyatt Joseph Martin, 22, a Mesa, AZ native, was born unto his heavenly fathers home on Dec. 12, 2014. He was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in the Parwan Province. Martin was assigned to 43D Engineer , 2nd Squadron, 3D Calvary Regiment of Fort Hood, Texas. Wyatt joined the Army because he wanted to give back. Wyatt loved the outdoors. his time in the Army, Wyatt planned to go to Michigan State University and then become a fish and game officer. Wyatt graduated from Skyline High School in Mesa. Wyatt is survived by his parents Brian and Julie, sisters Katie and Beth, grandparents Joe and Joan Martin, Uncles: David Martin, Jeff Martin, Roger Martin, Scott Grace and Rob Grace, Aunts Katie Dornbos, Susan Fedele and Cindy Jewell and also his several adoring and co-mischievous cousins.
