Obituary: Mr. Clyde Morris, age 95, of Roswell, Georgia passed away , 27, 2014. Services will be held 11:00 am , 1, 2014 at the Chapel of Roswell . Interment will follow in Green Lawn , Roswell. Mr. Morris, a native of Alabama, was a resident of Roswell for 50 years. He was a graduate of Auburn University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient; after which he would have a 42 year career with U.S. Steel as a metallurgist. Mr. Morris was a member of Roswell First Baptist Church for 50 years where he served as President of the BYKOTA School Class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Mae Fincher Morris; and his brother, Ralph Morris. Survivors include his children: Bob and Jill Morris, Ann and Charlie Patterson, and David and Judi Morris. Grandchildren: Dana Skinner, Alan Patterson, Scott Morris, Jason Morris, Vanessa Morris, and Melissa Summers. Great grandchildren: Lauren Skinner; Robby, Will, and Jake Morris. Jack and Paige Morris; Lucy and Helen Grace Summers. Brother, Claude Morris; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Foundation Fighting Blindness, 977 Lakeview Parkway Suite 140 Vernon Hills, IL 60061; or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends on morning from 10 am until the hour of service at Roswell . |

Obituary: Clarence E. Morris, Jr, 89, a longtime resident of Atlanta died 15, 2017. He was born in Asheville, NC, and grew up in New London, Albemarle and Asheboro, NC. He joined the United States Marine Corps in , 1945, at age seventeen. He was trained for the invasion of Japan, but was diverted to China after Truman dropped the A-Bombs. Upon returning from military service, he graduated from Asheboro High School in 1948, and in 1951 he graduated from Catawba in Salisbury, NC with a degree in Accounting. He joined Southern Bell in Atlanta in 1951 and served in a number of management positions in Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky and back in Georgia in 1959. He retired as Operations Manager – Administrative Services in 1990. During his thirty-nine year career with Southern Bell, he was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Administrative Management Society, where he served as President of the Atlanta Chapter in 1971. He served three years on the Catawba Alumni Association Board of Directors, the third year as President. He was an avid tennis player having played in Alta over thirty years. Starting at C-3 and moving up to A-1 over the years. retirement, he played several times a week with the Seniors Group at DeKalb and Blackburn Tennis s. He was a regular Blood Donor having donated over 200 pints. He was a long time member of the Briarcliff United Methodist Church serving as head usher for many years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret (Peggy) Garner Morris and his daughter Lisa Ann Morris both of Atlanta Ga. services will be held , 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Briarcliff United Methodist Church. A reception will follow. Burial will be in Oaklawn , Asheboro, NC |

Obituary: Mr. Charles Kenneth Morris, Sr., age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away , 5, 2016. He was born 17, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia. He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, receiving an honorable discharge. He worked as an electrician and was a member of IBEW #613. Mr. Morris was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was outgoing, loved the outdoors and loved life to the fullest. Mr. Morris was honest, a very open and loyal person, and was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Sons of The American Legion, a mason and a member of the Yaraab Shrine. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Willie Chapman Morris; a sister, Joyce Beisel; and brothers, Ray Morris, Wayne Morris and David Morris. He is survived by his wife, Anna Morris; sons, Kenny Morris and Randy Morris; a daughter, Pam Morris Milner; brothers, Bobby Morris and M. F. Morris; sister, Sharon Franklin; grandchildren, Kevin Garmon, Deanna Brewer, Jessica Moss, Chris Morris, Heather Morris and Brandi Dye; 7 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and other family members. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on , 7, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be , 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Josh Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
