Obituary: Michael Alan McQuaig, a resident of Brunswick, Ga., passed away , 23, 2016 at the age of 57 following a two month battle with cancer. Mr. McQuaig is survived by his mother Joyce Perry McQuaig; Sisters Debbie McQuaig and Linda Zangla; Brother Jeff McQuaig; Aunt Faye Merier; Uncles Tommy Faulkner and Wayne Merier; nephew Joseph Zangla; Numerous cousins and Girlfriend Lynn Boyce of New York. Mr. McQuaig is preceded in death by his father Major Randall Morell McQuaig, USAF. Mike was born in Newport News, Virginia, and has been a resident of Brunswick, Ga., for many years. He served his country with the United States Air Force, obtaining his career as an aircraft mechanic. A Memorial service to remember Mr. McQuaigs life will be held at North Island Church, St. Simons Island, Ga., on 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Obituary: Mrs. Bonita Barley McQuaig, 94, a resident of Townsend, Georgia, died 3/29/11 in the Golden Living in Jesup, Ga. Mrs. McQuaig was a native of Enterprise, Ala. and had been a resident of McIntosh most of her life. She was a housewife and a charter member of the Crescent Baptist Church in Crescent, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Rev. J. H. McQuaig, Sr. and a infant daughter, Bonita Faith McQuaig and her parents, W. B. and Faye Donaldson Bailey. Survivors are two sons, James Henderson McQuaig, Jr. (Betty) and Donald Wesley McQuaig(Gail) both of Townsend, Ga., a daughter, Patty Younger (Wesley) of Tenn., a sister-in-law, Joyce McQuaig of Brunswick, four grandchildren, James H. McQuaig, IV, Susan M. Nunn, Wes McQuaig and Michelle Burgess 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held 3/31/11 at 2 PM in the St .Andrews in Darien with Rev. Alan White and Rev. Bob Briley officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Crescent Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the from 6 to 8 PM 3/30/11. Edo Miller and Sons in charge of arrangements. |
