Obituary: Michael Brian McCollum, a resident of Brunswick, GA passed away at Southeast Georgia System Brunswick Campus, , 14, 2016 at the age 44.
A celebration of life will be held at Lakeside United Methodist Church, , 18, 2016 at 11 A.M. with Reverend Donald C. Combs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Mr. McCollum was a lifelong native of Brunswick, GA, born May 23, 1972, son of John Lee McCollum and Marie OBrien Brewer. He attended St. Francis Xavier School and graduated from Glynn Academy. He continued his education at the of Coastal Georgia where he received his associate degree in Business Administration. Mr. McCollum began his working career at KB Toys as district manager for Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina, then he was employed by Southeast Georgia System as Transport Manager. His most recent employment was in auto sales, but he had returned to the of Coastal Georgia to earn a degree in special education when he suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2014. Mr. McCollum was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #9, Eagle Scout Troop 204 Project-Repairing and building at Camp Tolochee. He was also a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, where he was on the Preschool Board.

Mr. McCollum was a talented artist, who loved to read and loved his kitten Luke Skywalker. He also attended many Scout Jamborees, where he lovingly obtained the nickname IndyRok. Mr. McCollum was well traveled in Europe and Germany where many of his extended family lives. He was known for his positivity, sense of humor, and bright personality never having met a stranger, always smiling and always laughing. He also loved spending time with his wife, daughters, family and friends.

Mr. McCollum is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Walter OBrien (PopPop) and his paternal grandmother Maria McCollum (Oma).
Survivors include his wife Holly McCollum; two daughters Hannah and Natalie; father John McCollum (Susan): mother Marie Brewer (Carter); sister Jennifer Yuen (Mike); brother Karl McCollum; paternal grandparents Charles and Carolyn McCollum; maternal grandmother Agnes OBrien; Mother -In- Law Nina Popwell all of Brunswick, GA; Mr. McCollum is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Obituary: Bobby Joe McCollum, Sr., age 83, of Brunswick, Georgia departed this life , 5, 2017, peacefully at his residence with his family by his side.
Mr. McCollum was born , 12, 1933, to the late Hugh and Nina Eunice McCollum in his hometown of Raymond, Georgia.
Bobby was retired after 37 dedicated years of employment from Hercules as an instrument technician. He also proudly served for two years in the United States Armed Forces as a military policeman and chopper pilot during the Korean Conflict. His greatest joys in life were worshiping his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, fishing and hunting with his sons and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren and their families.
Bobby was preceded in death by the love of his life, best friend, devoted wife and mother of his 3 sons, Mildred Mikki Francis McCollum. Years later, he was preceded in death by Beverly McCollum and recently by Nancy McCollum. He was also preceded in death by a loving, beautiful sister, Faye Bettag and her husband, Bob, of Jacksonville, Florida.
Survivors of this blessed man are a sister, Hiltner and husband Ronald; three sons, Bobby Joe McCollum, Jr. and wife Krista, Michael K. McCollum and wife Jeanne and Mark B. McCollum; two step-sons, Jimmy Rozier and Jason Lafluer; a step daughter, Tonya Ingle; six outstanding grandchildren, Robert McCollum, Erika Chan, Jennifer Nelsen, Keith McCollum, Brandy McCollum and Andrea McCollum, and six extraordinary great grands.
The family will receive friends between 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on , 8, 2017 at Edo Miller and Sons . A memorial service to honor Bobbys life will be held at 7:00 PM on , 8, 2017 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons . Reverend Randy Lamb will officiate the service.

Obituary: Tom passed away on 31, 2015 after an extended battle with cancer. He was born 25, 1936 in Atlanta and lived most of his life in the Morningside area, then Buckhead. He attended North Fulton High, Georgia Military Academy, Vanderbilt University and Auburn University. He built homes in Sandy Springs, was with Statewide Mortgage , Adams Cates Realty and was in business for himself since 1973. Tom, an avid runner was a member of Atlanta Track Club and Atlanta Ski club where he mostly was an avid hiker. He also did a fair amount of biking and weight lifting. Tom was also a member of the Atlanta Jaguar Club, having owned several classic Jag autos. He was a long time member of Black Tie Social Club. While at Auburn he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. Tom was associated with the McCalister Clan Club, an avid historian of his ancestors who migrated from Scotland and Ireland, having records all the way back to 1790. He is a member of The Cathedral of St. Philip Episcopal Church in Buckhead. He is survived by three 1st cousins, Jeannie Grow of Valdosta Georgia, Lynn Stansberry of Maitland Florida, and Robert Nabell of Tallahassee Florida. A memorial service will be held on , 8 at 1 oclock at H. M. Patterson & Son - Spring Hill.

Obituary: Obituary - William McCollam, Jr.

William McCollam, Jr., age 91, of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Atlanta, Georgia, died peacefully on 30 of natural causes. Born in New Orleans, McCollam was a native son of Louisiana, with distinguished careers in both the military and in the energy industry. He grew up in Houma, Louisiana, and entered Louisiana State University at the age of 15. He graduated from LSU in 1943 with a Bachelors degree in arts and sciences, and entered the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he was described as having a atural curiosity and a knack for mathematics, with unlimited energy and a desire to help others.

graduating from West Point with honors in 1946, McCollam served in the Korean War, receiving two Bronze Stars for service in the 2nd Engineer Special Brigade. He was stationed in Guam, Washington state, Japan, and Korea, and participated in the Battle of Inchon, which was an amphibious landing. serving stateside and abroad, McCollam went on to earn his Master of Engineering in 1954 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He returned to West Point as an Instructor in the Department of Military Art and Engineering from 1958 to 1961. He also served in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1946 to 1961, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

McCollam was a pioneer in the energy industry and was a frequent spokesperson on energy policy. He began his career in the industry with Arkansas Power and Light in 1961, where he served in various executive capacities for nine years. He later joined New Orleans Public Service in New Orleans as Executive Vice President and was named President in 1971. McCollam also served as Chairman of the Southwest Power Pool and the National Electric Reliability Council, now the North American Electric Reliability Corporation.

In 1978, McCollam was named President of the Edison Electric Institute in Washington, DC, where he served until 1990. During his tenure at EEI, which is the trade association that represents the nations investor-owned electric companies, McCollam was a spokesperson for the industry and led the industrys response to several fuel supply crises and numerous environmental regulations. He also established a regular meeting of utility CEOs around the world and developed key international energy policies.

Following his retirement from EEI, McCollam became an energy management consultant, and also served on the Boards of Directors of McDermott International, New Orleans, and Burns and Roe Enterprises, New Jersey.

A registered professional engineer, McCollam received the A.B. Paterson Award in 1975, the Louisiana Engineering Societys highest recognition for managerial achievement by an engineer in an executive position. In 1985, he was installed as a member of the Louisiana State University Hall of Distinction, and, in 1991, he received the third United States Energy Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to the United States Energy Association and the World Energy Council.

In 2004, McCollam retired to his home in New Orleans to spend time with extended family, particularly his brothers, John McCollam (and wife Julie) of New Orleans, and Edmund McCollam (and wife Anne) of Houma, and his brothers-in-law, Wilbur Joffrion (and wife Beebe) and Bush Joffrion, of Baton Rouge.

During his time in New Orleans, McCollam was active in community affairs. He served as President of the Chamber of Commerce of the New Orleans area and on the executive boards of numerous organizations, including the New Orleans Area Council, the Boy Scouts of America, Loyola University, the New Orleans Philharmonic Symphony Society, the New Orleans Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Business School Council of Tulane Universitys Graduate School of Business Administration and the Universitys Presidents Council. He was a member of the St. Lazarus Society, as well as a member of several Mardi Gras carnival organizations. A lifelong Episcopalian, McCollam was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

McCollam is survived by his wife, Hope Joffrion McCollam, who was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, and now lives in Atlanta. He is also survived by his daughter, Ellendale McCollam Hoffman, and her husband, Charles, of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, and their children, Alexandra and Charles; his son, William Cage McCollam of Galveston, Texas; and his son, Stephen Mason McCollam, and his wife, Kimberly, of Atlanta, and their children Grace, Clara, and Ellie. McCollam leaves behind a large extended family, as well as numerous colleagues and friends, who remain grateful for his example of leadership, integrity, and family loyalty.

Visiting hours will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, on , 20, at 10:00 am, followed by funeral services in the church at 11:00. A graveside burial with full Military Honors will follow at Lake Lawn Metairie .
