Obituary: Joan Elaine Libra passed away on 30, 2010 at Collier Hospice in Wheatridge, Colorado. She was an identical twin and was born in Primrose, Nebraska on 19, 1934. Joan was a resident of Golden for 53 years. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Lawrence of 56 years as well as four children - Teri Barrett (Joe), Patti Auten, Rita Scohera (Nick) and Paul Libra (Lori). She is also survived by three grandchildren (Lauren Auten, Carson Scohera and Abigail Scohera) and her sisters Joyce, Rosalie and Martha. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Lillian Miller, and her daughter Catherine. Viewing/Rosary Service will be held on , 6 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olinger Woods Mortuary in Golden. Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Golden on , 7 at 10:00 a.m. Joan will be laid to rest at Mt. Obituary: Lewis Bud Libengood, 77, went to be with the Lord on 2nd, 2010 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Bud was born on 18, 1933 in Olivet, Michigan and was a 38 year resident of Colorado Springs. A retired Lt. Colonel, Bud served 26 years in the Air Force as a fighter pilot. He had a strong Christian faith and was an active member of St. Georges Anglican Church and Choir. His hobbies included being a ham radio operator, reading military history, and being a Colorado sports fan. Bud also enjoyed attending yearly reunions with his flying buddies. An observer of people, Bud was known for his insightful observations. When combined with his sardonic wit, he became the ultimate smart aleck! For 35 years, Bud was a loving husband to his wife, Lore. He is survived by his sister, Hazel Wright of Odessa, Texas. He leaves behind two sons, James and John Libengood of Yoder, Colorado, a daughter Sue Battig Zuchowski of Woodland Park, Colorado, and a stepson, Jack Marroquin of Farmington, New Mexico. A doting grandfather, his legacy includes two grandsons, Justin Zuchowski of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Derek Zuchowski of Fort Collins, Colorado. Services will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church, 2760 Fieldstone Road, Colorado Springs, on , 6, 2010 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Georges Anglican Church in honor of Buds love for their music program. under the direction of Swan-Law Directors, Colorado Springs, Colorado. |
