Obituary: Margaret Ann Levasseur passed away 11, 2016, following an 11-year journey with Alzheimers and the last 7 months with uterine cancer. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Levasseur, who passed away in 2004. enjoyed 44 years of marriage. She was born Margaret Ann Glover on 29, 1939, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Mary E. Boyd and Norris Glover. Ann grew up in Alabama, Japan, and Montana. She met Bob when she was 16 years old at a local record shop in Glassco, Montana. were married four years later on 30, 1960. Motherhood arrived with excitement and joy in of that year when their daughter Judy was born, followed by Phillip 1962, Mary 1963, Raymond 1965, and Andre 1969. Ann learned to balance motherhood with her career, and created a warm and loving home for her family. Ann worked for more than 30 years as an administrative assistant for Los Angeles Superintendent of Schools in Bellflower. She transferred to the Sacramento satellite office in 1999 before retiring in 2002. Ann lovingly continued family traditions in her own home and sought to create lasting memories. Annual highlights included family vacations to Koatias cabin in Big Bear, day-trips to Lake Delores, road-trips to Sacramento and Las Vegas to visit family, and summer bonfires at the beach. Besides working full time, Ann played taxi service to her five children, getting them to/from dance recitals, sports practices, scouts, and filling in as leader/coach as needed. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards, a good joke, and helping others. Ann is survived by her five children: Judy (Mike), Philip (Kathy), Mary (Kurt), Ray (Cherie), and Andre. Ann also leaves behind the biggest joys of all, her 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Her sister Kathy also survives Ann. Ann will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Did I ever say thanks for the sacrifices you made so I could be involved in so many enriching activities? Did I ever say thanks for working so hard to provide for our family? Did I ever say thanks for having such faith in me and always being there when I needed you most of all? Did I ever say thanks for being an awesome mom? Thank you Mom, for letting us build forts using every sheet and blanket we could find, the trips to the beach with bonfires and smores, including our friends in all we did, and barbeques by the backyard pool. Thank you for all the wonderful food and teaching us how to be good cooks as well. Thank you for the toboggan runs at Koatia's cabin in Big Bear, and sliding down the stairs. Thank you for the picnics at the park, ice cream from Tastee-Freeze, and how to make the chocolate graham cracker cakes. Thank you for the doughboy pool that turned into the built-in pool so we had a place to gather, grow, and love. Thank you for teaching us to play cards and enjoying time spent with friends and family. But most of all, thank you for teaching us that our faith and family are the most important things to hold on to! Thanks for teaching us that no matter how old we get, we should always keep a smile on our face, laugh as much as possible, spend time with the people you love, that its okay to bend the rules once in a while, but most of all enjoy every moment and live life to the fullest.
