Obituary: We celebrate the life of Myrna Zshornack Locsin, born 2, 1934 in Manila, Philippines and passed away peacefully in Kirkland, surrounded by family, after a short battle with lymphoma. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Alfio Lacson Locsin and Robert Bob Hideaki Yamagiwa. She is survived by five sons, a son-in-law, and three daughters-in-law: Aurelio Locsin and Anthony Foo of Placentia, California; Arsenio and Susan Locsin of Tigard, Oregon; Angelo Locsin and Kim Tran of Seattle, Washington; Alberto Locsin of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Alexei and Kacey Locsin of Basalt, Colorado. She is survived by a grandson, Amilio Locsin. She is survived by a sister, Lilia Zshornack of La Puente, California. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews many of whom lived locally including: Solita Locsin and Ron Choi; Genevieve Locsin; Cecilia Locsin; Ramon and Anne Locsin; Doug and Luisa Hawkins; and Victor Topacio and Emily Zshornack Topacio. Growing up in Manila, Mom sang in the church choir where her beautiful voice drew notice and earned her a scholarship to study music and became a classically trained opera singer. Her favorite operas were the Spanish and Italian operas. Her devotion to the Catholic Church was evident throughout her life. Mom loved to share stories about traveling with her first husband, Alfio, with whom she had all five sons. honeymooned in Hawaii, traveled to Germany where they met many dignitaries, vacationed in Switzerland, and other countries in Europe. Mom always loved fashion and was always elegantly dressed. left the Philippines in 1975 and moved to Seattle and later Bothell. Shortly after the move to Bothell, Dad passed away. Mom was a business owner and operated a convenience store in Seattles International District. selling off her store, she worked her way up at Harborview Medical to the position of Payroll Manager. She worked there for twenty years until her retirement in 2003. She proudly put some of her sons through private school and all five sons graduated from college. Mom married her second husband, Bob, and together they continued to support many activities, including the Filipino Youth Activities. Mom sang in the choir at St. Brendans Catholic Church and enjoyed the Asian-affinity groups at the church. A funeral mass will be held on , May 1, 2013 at 11am, preceded by a viewing at 9:30am and rosary at 10am at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10049 NE 195th Street, Bothell WA 98011. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society. |

Obituary: Tom Lockwood, 56, of Bellevue, WA, passed away in his home on 25, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2015. Tom was born on 23, 1959, in Morristown, New Jersey, to James and Carolyn Lockwood, but lived most of his life in Bellevue. He graduated from Newport High School in 1978 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University. Tom spent the majority of his working life in a family business started by his father, spending the last 18 years as a part-owner and General Manager for Protective Coatings Consultants, Inc. (PCCI) in Seattle. At PCCI, he loved his work and cherished the many long-lasting relationships he developed with business partners and customers. Tom also worked as the Corporate Credit Manager for Rodda Paint , in Portland, OR, displaying a wonderful knack for negotiating with customers and collections. While living in Portland, Tom met Julie through one magical ad in the Willamette Week newspaper, and they were married soon after in 1991. had one son, Andrew, in 1993, before moving back to Bellevue in 1997. Tom was a devoted husband and father throughout his life. Tom is survived by his wife of 24 years, Julie, and son Andrew. He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn Lockwood, Bellevue, WA; and sisters Debbie (Mark) Maxwell of Olympia, WA; Donna Roush of Bellevue, WA; Diane (Steve) Elms of Bellevue, WA; and Dawn (Greg) Barr of West Seattle, WA; in-laws, nieces and nephews; and many friends who he considered to be family. Tom was preceded in death by his father, James Lockwood in 2015. Tom was loved for his sense of humor, honest advice, big heart and natural charm. He loved almost any sporting event, sunsets on the Oregon Coast, classic rock music, wearing shorts year-round, and spending time with family and friends. Tom was a genuine person and a loyal friend, and took great pride in his family. He will be truly missed.
