Obituary: Margaret Peggy Lillian Lewis Margaret Peggy Lillian Lewis went to be with her Lord and Savior, and her family who passed before her, after a brief illness on 29, 2010. Peggy was born in Yakima, WA, 29, 1928 to Mitchell Stanley Thomson and Helen Francis (Christian) Thomson. Peggys family later moved to Ellensburg, WA, and she graduated from Ellensburg High School in the class of 1947. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Peggy and her husband of 57 years (Glenn Melvin Lewis) were married in Ellensburg, but lived most of their adult lives together in Yakima. She was a homemaker until her children were older and then worked as a school lunch cook for the Yakima school district. Most of that time was spent at Eisenhower High School. retirement, Peggy volunteered for many years at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital and was active at the Central Washington Agricultural Museum in Union Gap, WA. Peggys family and friends knew her as an avid gardener, reader and as someone who loved to play board games, cards and put together puzzles. Peggys family, on her fathers side (Thomson, Mitchell, Bishop, Hunter, Hancock, Gavin) came to this country from Scotland, some of the families settling in Nova Scotia, Canada, before coming to the United States. Her mothers family (Christian, Synett, Archer, Van Wart, Cromwell, Griffin, Berrien, Brown) were long time residents of the New York area. Family genealogy traced back to the early 1700s show service to the country as far back as the Revolutionary War. Peggy is survived by her husband Glenn of Yakima, WA, sister Patricia Louise Thomson of Clovis, CA, daughter Pamela Helen Lewis of San Jose, CA, son Jeffery Christian Lewis (Wife Vincynthia) of Issaquah, WA, Granddaughter Breanne Teresa (Lewis) Cherry (Husband Tristan) of Kirkland, WA, Granddaughter Adreanne Pamela Lewis, of Seattle, WA, Great-Grandson Bishop Wesley Cherry of Kirkland, WA, Sister-in-law Patty Thomson of Gig Harbor, WA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Stanley Christian Thomson, of Gig Harbor, WA. A memorial service will be held at Orchard Park Retirement , 620 N. 34th Ave, Yakima, WA, on , 17th at 1pm. Obituary: Linzy Adam Lewis (Age 91 years young) Linzy was born on 28, 1924 to Bert and Tera (Pease) Lewis in Spokane, WA. high school, he joined the US Army. Linzy worked as a Carman for the Railroad from which he retired. He was also in Scouting for sixteen years and was a Scout Master for thirteen years. Linzy is survived by his wife of 67 years, Floralee Lee (Taylor) Lewis, son, Jack Linzy Lewis (Patricia); one brother and one sister; four grandchildren Kristina T. Lewis, Jeremy Carson, Chad and Brian Bentley; and one great grandchild Noah Bentley. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Alan Lewis.
