Obituary: David Eugene Lawrence Passed away peacefully , Sept 20th, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup Washington. He is survived by his wife Kimera; daughter Megan and son in law Jacob Johnson along with their two daughters Allison and Aurora; son Andrew and daughter in law Kimberly Lawrence. He also leaves behind his mother Joan Lawrence, sisters Elaine (and Spruce) Cox, Colleen (and Geoff) Clifford and brother Bill (and Kelly) Lawrence, mother and father in law Don and Gwen Dewey, in addition to countless other extended family and friends. David was born in Enumclaw, Washington and lived most of his life in the Puyallup area. He graduated from Puyallup High School in 1972, and received his Bachelors degrees from the University of Washington in 1976, and his MBA from City University in 1987. He had recently moved up from Coto De Caza, California, to be with his family in Puyallup while he fought cancer. Dave was a loving father and devoted son. He coached baseball for over 13 years, and worked for the Boeing , where he had recently retired after 27 years. He loved golf, football, and spending time with his family. His laugh and outgoing demeanor will be forever missed. He will be committed to the Sumner on , Sept. 29th at 10am, which will be followed by an open house from noon to 4:00pm memorial celebration at the home of Don and Gwen Dewey, 6613 114th Ave. Ct. Obituary: Billye Gaye (Ragsdale) Lawrence passed away late in the loving arms of her husband, three children, two grandchildren, and friend Marla Tisdel. She was born 2, 1943 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Bill and Joanna Ragsdale. While Billye Gaye was a toddler, the family relocated to Portland for employment and to join Joanna's large extended family. Not long after moving to Portland Billye Gaye enrolled in Columbia Bible School (now Columbia Christian Schools) in Northeast Portland where she attended from 1st grade through high school. While in attendance at Columbia, Billye Gaye met her future husband Chuck Lawrence. The two married on 22, 1966 and celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in of this year. A devoted and loving mother, Billye Gaye prioritized motherhood to her two daughters and her son working part time as a hairdresser where she had the ability to utilize her creative talents. Billye Gaye also had a strong love for animals having multiple cats through the years in addition to her beloved miniature Dachshund "Kewpie" as well as abandoned baby Fallow deer whom she would rescue and bottle feed back to health. Some of her greatest joys were to spend time with her children and eight grandchildren and rarely missed a school program or sporting event in which the grandchildren participated. Her love for Jesus and generous spirit served as an example to both friends and family. She loved to share the Lord's word with her family and friends, bringing many of them to commit their lives to Jesus. Both she and her husband helped many children receive a Christian education at their alma mater Columbia Christian through generous scholarships. Long an active member and volunteer to local churches, the couple have been proud charter members of the Eastside Church of Christ, having attended the inaugural service in 1953. Billye Gaye's vivacious personality will be missed by those she is survived by; including her husband Chuck Lawrence, daughters DeAnn Womack and Lisa Getting, son William Lawrence, eight grandchildren, and sister Johnnie Potts. A memorial service will be held in Portland at the Eastside church of Christ, 9030 NE Glisan St, on , 8 at 2:00 pm.
