Obituary: Jack Langill of Bremerton May 12, 1915 to Oct. 27, 2010 Jack Langill went home to be with our Lord 27, 2010. He was born May 12, 1915 in Fernie, BC. He moved to Monroe, WA, in the early 1920s where he attended school and met and married Ruby Edna Ray 25, 1936. As a young man, he worked in logging, sawmills, cement plant, and on Grand Coulee Dam. In 1940, he was hired as a Rigger at PSNS. Jack worked as Leadingman, Foreman, and as General Foreman, he retired in 1972. retiring, he worked as a carpenter and cabinetmaker for over 7 years. Jack was very active in the Silverdale Methodist Church, which he joined in the early 1940s. He served as the Lay Leader, Chairman of the Building Committee, Staff Parish Committee, Finance Committee, Trustees, and as Young Married Couples Leader. He and Ruby held Bible Study in their home for over 50 years. Jack was a member of the Wind of the Spirit Ministries council from its inception 26 years ago; always a prayer warrior and one to whom they looked for advice and counsel. Its often been said he didn say too much, but when he did everyone listened. Jack was known as Mr. Fix It, always available to assist those who needed help. Jack did not know the word NO. Jack and Ruby traveled extensively as lay witness ministers, spreading the word of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the U.S. and the world, including Israel, India, and South Africa. Jack loved his family, his flowers, vegetable garden, fishing, camping and traveling. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby, son Jerry, mother Germaine, stepfather Sid Langill, and father Walter Bergman. Jack is survived by his sister Dolores Briggs of Port Angeles, daughter Colleen (Jim) Mey of Silverdale, son Ray (Diane) Langill of Des Moines, Iowa; 3 grandchildren, Bob Mey of Bremerton, Jeanine Hurst of Silverdale, Richard (Denise) Langill of Des Moines, Iowa; 6 great-grandchildren, including Danielle (Danny) Bergquist and Cherie (Tyler) Cowgill; 3 great-great granddaughters, Isabella, Cheyenne and Quinn of Bremerton; 2 step-granddaughters; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-great-grandchildren of Des Moines, Iowa; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at 1 p.m. , 3rd at Miller-Woodlawn with interment at 3 p.m. at Forest Lawn . Memorial Service will be held 11th at 4 p.m. at Silverdale Methodist Church in Silverdale. Memorials may be made to Wind of the Spirit Ministries. |

Obituary: Dick was born on 22, 1922 in Wenatchee, Washington to Harold and Muriel Langham. The family moved to Seattle in 1940 and he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1941. He enlisted in the Air Force and trained as a B-17 radio operator. The war ended and he spent two years flying with the Air Corp all over the world. He met his future wife, Betty Jacobson, while waterskiing on Lake Washington and they were married in 1950. Dick worked as a printer for the Seattle Times and retired after 33 years. Dick played hockey for many years, was one of the founding members of the Water Ski Association, and an avid snow skier. He also enjoyed photography, politics, and loved going to the circus. Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Langham, his parents, and his brother Robert Langham, He is survived by his daughters; Sandra Langham and her children Aaron Westfall and Chace Langham-Minor; Margo Thomas and her children Audrey and Elise Kolde; and Beth Ostrom (Russ) and their children Anna, Emma and Jenna Ostrom.
