Obituary: Robert Bob Andrew Lind was born in Orange, New Jersey on 3 1925. finishing high school, Bob joined the Army and served in WWII as a medic in both Europe and the Philippines. the war, Bob took advantage of the GI Bill to pursue his love of languages, receiving a BA from Seton Hall University and a MA from Ohio State. Bob met Franciska, his future wife, while studying in Germany. were married in 1973 and moved to New Jersey where they lived until 1981. settling in Northern Virginia in 1983, Bob taught at Bishop OConnell High School until retiring in 1987. retiring, Bob was a caregiver for his mother and later his wife. Bob was an active and dedicated parishioner of St. Philips Catholic Church, as well as an energetic volunteer at both the George Mason District Library and the Democratic Party. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bobs life at Murphy ; 1102 W. Broad Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22046 on , 16, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. (www.murphyfuneralhomes.com) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or to a charity of your choice. |

Obituary: LIND, Louise Z., 94, of Henrico, passed away 7, 2016. Louise was born on 11, 1922 in Richmond, VA, and was the widow of Russell J. Lind. She was preceded in death by her son, James R. Lind, and sister, Marie Z. Pruett. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia L. Schoonover and son-in-law, James E. Schoonover; granddaughters, Lindsay E. Schoonover and Erika J. Wilberger and her spouse, Joshua. Louise was a homemaker and a member of Elko Union Church for 60 years, then a member of Sandston Baptist for the last 2 years. Visitation will be held on , 11, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen in Richmond, where a service will be held on 12, 2016 at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Rd. Sandston, VA 23150 in her memory. Online condolences may be left at www.nelsencares.com. |
