Obituary: Karen Biles Lytle, 53, of Waco, TX, was granted her angel wings on 3, 2015. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Karen had touched in so many ways throughout her short, yet very memorable life. She was born in Waco, on 18, 1961 to Robert and Noma Biles. Karen’s life will seem too short, but to those touched by her understood the quality of her existence far exceeded the quantity of time she lived. Her radiant smile and bubbly personality brought so much joy to our family. Karen attended University High School and graduated 1979. On 10, 1982, she married Phillip Lytle and had three children, Bradley, Samantha, and Josh. Karen spent many years working with her mother and sister operating a pet grooming business. From this she developed lasting relationships with her many customers. Karen had a number of hobbies; but scrap booking and crime shows were her greatest passions. Karen was preceded in death by her father Robert along with her brothers George and Steve. She leaves behind her children Bradley, Samantha, and Josh; her furry companions, Ginger and Peggy. She is also survived by brothers Robert and his wife Bernadette Biles and Kenneth and his wife Robin Biles; Sisters Connie Eaton and her husband Steve and Cathy Taylor and her husband Greg. She also leaves her sister in law Cindy Biles and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m, , 6, at Connally-Compton . Obituary: James G. Lytle, 82, of Bayview, Texas, passed away on 26, 2017. He was born in Austin, Texas on 10, 1935 to Melvin Ross Lytle and Agnes Rowena Page. He was married to Sylvia Susan Brittain Lytle for 51 years. James worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. In the Navy, he served onboard the USS Boston, the first guided missile cruiser. James had a passion for many things, including rocks, coins and electronics. He loved to hunt and fish, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family! James was preceded in death by his loving wife Susan; sons Ricky, Christopher and Johnny. He is survived by his sister Sharron Simpson; son Russell Lytle, wife Janet; daughter Rena Lombardi; son Daniel Lytle, wife Wendy; grandchildren Anthony, Elishia, Patrick and Sean; great-grandchildren Isabella and Sylvia; and cousin Billy Lee Reams. Obituary: Faith Williamson Lytle entered rest at her home on morning, 29th, 2005 after surviving over 20 years with breast cancer. She was surrounded in her final hours by her loving husband William P. Lytle, daughters Ruth Hamilton and Aimee Hearn, sons David and Paul, daughter-in-law Diep Nguyen Lytle, and grandchildren Nathan, Tim, Jae and Ben Lytle. Other family include daughter-in-law Jane Bierman-Lytle, grandchildren Linden, Oliver, and Sebastian Bierman-Lytle of Denver, son-in-law Brian Hamilton; grandson, Roman Hamilton and step-grandson, Erik Hamilton of Washington, DC, son-in-law Roy Hearn of Groveton, TX, sisters-in-law Shirley Williamson of Mantoloking, NJ and Gloria Williamson of North Port, FL, brother-in-law Byron Hurlbut of Pittsburgh, PA, niece Marjorie Dwyer, Jim Dwyer, and their sons Jonathan and Jason of Boston, MA. Faith was preceded in death by her beloved parents and brothers, Norman and Ray Williamson. She also leaves many friends all across the nation. Besides her family who meant so much to her, FaithÂs passions included the arts, her pets, her English heritage, social issues, and her spiritual journey. Faith was born to George Phillip and Muriel Millicent Ray Williamson on 13, 1923 near Maplewood, NJ where she spent her childhood years. She graduated from Tusculum in Greenville, TN. She then attended Princeton Seminary where Bill was a student. were married there in 1947, and she began her long and fruitful life with Bill as national missionaries in the Reserve and Corona, NM ranching communities until 1962. spent another 11 years in rural mission church work in the mountain area around the University of the Ozarks, Clarksville, AR, where they both were employed. For the past 32 years, Faith and Bill have made their home in San Antonio, where Bill was pastor of the downtown Madison Square Presbyterian Church, 1973 - 1991. The family spent most summers at Chautauqua Lake, NY, one of FaithÂs most favorite places. She and the family also enjoyed other vacation trips across the country. On one of those trips through Georgia, the family stopped at Koinoinia Farms and saw the beginnings of the dream of Clarence Jordan and Millard Fuller for cooperative building of homes with people in need. With MillardÂs encouragement, Faith conceived of the idea of trying community home building in the inner-city of San Antonio. Beginning in 1976 through her work with many friends in the area, including Rod and Patti Radle, San Antonio Habitat for Humanity became the first affiliate of what is now a world wide housing project in cooperation with low-income working families. Faith documented this story in her book, "We Would Be Building", published in 2001 by Habitat for Humanity International. |
