Obituary: Edna Greener Lupton, 96, passed away quietly in her Shallowater home on 18, 2013. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on , 23, 2013 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, 10th and J street in Shallowater with Father George Poonely officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be , 22, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Resthaven Abbey chapel with rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. Edna was born in the German settlement of Westphalia, Texas on 11, 1916 to Herman and Annie (Beimer) Greener. In 1924 the Greener family moved to the newly established German settlement of Pep, Texas. She married the late Walter Lupton in Pep on 24, 1941. The couple settled in Shallowater of that year and were married for 53 years. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lupton in 1994 and son, Harry James Lupton; sister, Mary Greener and brothers, Syl, Ben, Jim, Herbie and Bobby Greener. She is survived by sons, Sonny (Jan) and Pat (Janice)Lupton both of Shallowater and daughters, Kay Licona (Memo) of Santa Teresa, NM, Ann McGinty (Kenneth), Bunny Payne (Bob), Grace Simmons (Brad) all of Lubbock and Christy Christian (Lewis) of Jacksboro, 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, Buddy Greener of Lubbock; sisters, Geraldine Williams of Morton, Kay Mouney of Woodside, CA and Roberta Greener of Sunny Vale, CA. Pallbearers will be Patrick, Ryan, and Lorne Lupton, Brandon McGinty, Jay Christian and Travis Stamps. Obituary: Mamie Frances Lupo, 94, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away , 10, 2015 in Groves, Texas. She was born on 28, 1921 in Port Arthur to Sam and Jenny Palermo. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. Mamie was a homemaker who loved to cook and work in her garden. She would do anything for anybody and was loved by her neighbors. Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Lupo; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, A.J. Lupo and wife Dolores and daughter, Agnes Thomas. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Michael Overstreet and wife Susan, Theresa Faulk and husband Shawn, Charissa Chatelain, Anthony Lupo and wife Jessica, Brian Lupo and wife Sadie and 5 great grandchildren to cherish her memories. Obituary: Hans Lupkes, 92 of Houston, TX was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on , 2, 2014. Hans was born the son of John and Minnie Lupkes in Pilsum, Germany on May 26, 1922. His family immigrated to the United States when he was almost 3 years old. The family lived a short time in Ellsworth, Minnesota, moved to a farm in South Dakota before settling on a farm in Rock Rapids, Iowa in 1933. Hans, 4th born child of 7 children, learned the value of hard work growing up on the farm. Hans had a passion for flying and obtained his pilots license before joining the Air Force near the end of WWII. While serving at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, LA., he met the love of his life, Lucia Dyson. were united in marriage on 28, 1946. his discharge from the Air Force, the couple moved to Rock Rapids, IA for a short time returning to Shreveport, LA where Hans began a career as an AC technician and consultant for almost 40 years. During that time they raised 3 children. Due to his career, they were relocated from Shreveport, LA to Oklahoma City, OK, Houston, TX, Levittown, PA and returning to Houston, before they were transferred again to Atlanta, GA, finally settling in Houston in 1974. Hans retired from Thermal Supply in 1989. Always the practical joker, Hans loved hunting, fishing, boating and during his retirement he took up woodworking. Hans is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lucia Lupkes, and their 3 children, Cyndee Wilkerson (husband - Gary), David Lupkes (wife - Deborah), Julie Bailey (husband - Michael) and sister Eleanor Bouwman. Opa will be greatly missed by his 6 grandchildren, Greg Wilkerson (wife - Robin), Cheryl Patrick (husband - Kai), Shannon Hoover (husband-Jim), Jeremy Lupkes (wife - Fatima), Amanda Golden (husband - Thomas) and Travis Golden (wife - Lauren) as well as his great grandchildren, Haley Wilkerson, Brady Wilkerson, Austin Patrick, Tyler Patrick, Jordan Lupkes and one on the way Jase Hoover. Hans was preceded in death his parents; four brothers, John Lupkes, Mike Lupkes, William Bill Lupkes and infant baby Boyd Lupkes; and two sisters, Grace Reck-Wildeman and Sophia Fastert. , 7, 2014, visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, 5050 East Sam Houston Parkway South, Pasadena, TX 77505 with Rev.
