Obituary: Gloria Irene Loweree, 85, entered her eternal reward on 2, 2015, and has been reunited there with the love of her life for 63 years, Carlos A. Loweree, who preceded her in death by seventeen months. She was a proud graduate of El Paso High School and Texas Western . Above all, Mom was an abundant and unwavering source of joy, love, and cariño to all her family and friends. An artist, she celebrated the daily miracles of life and was captivated by the beauty of nature. Mom passed on her exuberance for life to her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and hundreds of kindergarten students at Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Joseph Elementary Schools. Her unshakeable faith in Our Lord enabled her to accept the tribulations of life with strength and humility. We will always cherish the sparkle in her eyes, her sense of humor, and her kind encouragement. Merci beaucoup, Mom. She was preceded in death by parents Carlos and Aurora Uzeta and siblings Xavier Uzeta and Martha Dominguez. Mom is survived by her sons Carlos (Sandy), Luis (Cecilia), Jaime (Sally), Ruben (Anita), and Thomas (Debbie); fifteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; her sister Carolina Chavez and brother Benjamin Uzeta. Our family was infinitely blessed that for three years mom was in the loving, nurturing care of Rufina Briseño and her staff: Raquel, Irma, Licha, Mari, and dear friends Arturo, Mariana, Jessica, and Alyssa. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jose Luis Porras, nurse Carmen Peterson, the staff at Texas Oncology, especially Dr. Raul Portillo and nurse Jaime Villalva, as well as the staff of La Mariposa Hospice. Many thanks also to Alma Ojeda and Carolina Gonzalez. A Visitation will be held on , 8th, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Martin West. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on , 9th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. Michael was dedicated to his family, he loved going to the grandkids sporting events and enjoyed playing shuffleboard.
