Obituary: Alta Rae Corn Nana Lockard, 86, went to be with her Lord May 16, 2017 in Mansfield, Texas. services will be held , May 22, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Hampton Vaughan Chapel with Rev. Micky Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Grandfield, Oklahoma officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Blodgett, Donny Bridges, Tina Bridges, Jim Bridges, Steve Hudgins and Evan Hudgins. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park . Visitation is , May 21st from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at Hampton Vaughan . Private viewings are also welcome 10:00 am - 8:00 pm on and . Alta was born 23, 1931 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Dalpha and Valta Corn. In 1946, she married Charles Wilmer Lockard and they were united until his death in 1991. Alta worked as Cashier at the Sheppard Air Force Base Airmans and Officers Clubs for 30 years where even the base Commander knew her as Granny, followed by 9 years at the Fowler Elementary School cafeteria. Following retirement, her favorite pastimes were spending time with her grandchildren and shooting pool with her best friend Nancy Cothran at The Zone. She was a lifelong member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church where she taught School and was often Bible School Director. She loved her Lord and Savior and led many to Jesus Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Blodgett and husband Gary of Mansfield and Karren Bridges of Bowman Community; Grandchildren: Lisa Hudgins and husband Steve, Buffy Trussell and husband Jim, Donny Bridges and wife Angela, Tina Bridges, Jim Bridges and wife Christina, Cheryl Duncan, James Duncan and wife Bambi, Kevin Blodgett and wife Julianne; Great grandchildren: Evan and Carrigan Hudgins, Brennan and Brett Trussell, Randy and Kip Hughes, Jana Pennartz, Cade and Cannon Bridges, Kyleigh Thompson, Connor Powell, Roger Pozun, Kristen Findley, Ariel and Branden Logan, Ashlyn, Annemarie and Allisen Duncan, and Cade and Keegan Blodgett; 11 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who all loved their Auntie Alta. She is also survived by one brother Lee Corn and one sister Linda Duncan, whom she raised as her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Charlie, infant daughter Sharon, son-in-law Butch Bridges, brother Dee Corn, sister Juanita Moore, grandson Joseph Duncan and granddaughter Lori Bridges. Obituary: William Yale Lock passed away on 28, 2004 at the age of 74. He was born in Taft, Texas on 11, 1929 to Harben Alfred Lock III and Anne Crane Lock. Mr. Lock graduated from Austin High School and from Texas A & M University, Class of 1952. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served as a paratrooper, 11th Airborne, U.S. Army. Mr. Lock retired as a Special Investigator from the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, after a career of 38 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele Lock; brother, Alfred Lock IV and sister-in-law, Druena Lock. William and the late Jean Lock are survived by their daughters, Laura Bushell, Cheryl Lignell, Elaine Garrison, Cynthia Sims and Kathleen Fisher; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and also his stepdaughter, Heather Drew and granddaughter, Ava Drew. The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff of the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital for their loving care during the past months. |

Obituary: Stephen passed away at 63 at Arlington Memorial Hospital on 19, 2015. Born Stephen H. Lock, in East Stroudsburg, PA in 1951. He was the son of the late Caroline and Harry Lock and raised in Shawnee on the Delaware. Stephen attended the East Stroudsburg School system until he enlisted into the Navy for four years. He served as a chef on the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. Stephen was a devoted father, grandfather and husband. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years Jane (Zaback White) Lock, four children: Stephanie, Nicole and Paige, and Travis, five grandchildren: Jonathan, Jerrit, Jordan, Dominiq, and Paisleigh, two sisters: Susan and Judy, his Uncle Fred and Aunt Helen, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Stephen's tenacious ways allowed him to overcome many obstacles and engage with anyone he met along the way. Stephen loved us all so much and lived a very eventful life. Post serving in the U.S. Navy, he lived in San Diego, CA for 18 years where he worked as an Iron Worker and owned a local bar. Stephen then moved to Fort Worth, Texas and eventual settling in Arlington with Jane. While living in Texas, Stephen worked as a supervisor for a miniature die-casting company then drove a semi-truck for 16 years. During his past time, he co-operated a beef jerky business, took long rides on his Harley with his wife and friends by his side, enjoyed fishing with his kids and grandchildren, cooking with family, and telling jokes. Stephen could fill a room with laughter, great company and a delicious feast. He was a man of strong values and an excellent work ethic. He took much pride in his family, friends, being a Vietnam Veteran and an American. Stephen will be greatly missed. |
