Obituary: Joe Cooper Lochridge, 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep on 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Joe was happily married for 53 years to Caroline Kubala. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Joe was born in Waco, Texas on 13, 1932 to Cooper Malcolm Lochridge and Zava Mae Waldrop Lochridge (Deeda). He married Caroline in East Bernard, TX on May 5, 1963. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Rice Institute in 1954, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1959. In between earning his two degrees, he served for four years in the Navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Joe worked for Brown & Root for 30 years, working his way up to Vice President. He earned the Pipeliner of the Year award in 1981 and a Pioneer Award from the Offshore Energy Technology Hall of Fame for his work on Mohole. He was a member of the Texas Professor Engineers, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Brown & Root Retirees Association, and the Lokrig Association. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law James (Froggy) Williams, sister-in-law Fran Morgan, and nephew Timothy Gubbels. He is survived by his wife, two daughters - Laura and Ann, son Darren and his wife Kim, four grandchildren - Chase Reyna, Andrew Lochridge, Ryan Reyna, and Erminie Reyna, sister Robbie Williams, brother-in-law Mark Kubala, sister-in-law Pauline Gubbels and her husband Matt, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cooper M. & Zava Waldrop Lochridge Scholarship in Administration, Jones Graduate School of Business. Obituary: Janet Hale Longnecker Lochner (80) of Dallas, beloved mother of Marcia, Rick, Jenny and Christine died , May 23, 2011. She is survived by her children and her grandchildren: y, Megan, Michael and Jacquelyn. Janet died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Janet was born 17, 1931 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She grew up with her devoted parents Paul and Emily and her loving brother Rob and sister Nancy in Havertown, Pennsylvania. Despite the Great Depression, her life in Havertown was bountiful. Her family tended goats, chickens and had a garden; there was always plenty. graduating from Haverford High School, Janet earned a teaching degree at Pennsylvania State Teachers . She taught elementary school for a few years before getting married and devoting herself full-time to raising her family. Janet and her husband settled in Connecticut, where daughter Marcia was born. Son Rick was born in Staten Island, New York. The family then moved to Westfield, New Jersey where daughters Jenny and Christine were born. In 1965, the family moved to Dallas. Janet made many new friends in Dallas and there were numerous children on the block for the kids to play with. The doors were always open at the Lochner household and a swimming pool did not slow the steady stream of friends and neighbors visiting while Janet was watching over all the fun. Janet had an artistic flair. She very much enjoyed decorating her house. Garage sales and estate sales provided an endless supply of new things to add to the house and also supplied unique gifts for her children, friends and coworkers. She liked to frame pictures and each picture arrangement was a thoughtful mosaic. Janet was so creative and made beautiful jewelry which she gave to her close friends and family and became the jewelry repair shop for all who knew her. She also enjoyed sewing and spend endless amounts of time making magnificent quilts. Janet was well-known for her stylish dress. She created her own style and always looked fantastic when she went out. Her colorful and unique outfits were a reflection of her artistic talents and her ability to make good use of local secondhand stores. Janet returned to the workforce as her children grew and she last worked at CXY Energy where she prospered and developed many lasting friendships. Janet was an avid duplicate bridge player and became a life master in the 1980s. She played often in Dallas with her longtime bridge partner, Arena Trailer, and occasionally traveled the country to compete in regional tournaments. Janet loved to bake and cook for special occasions. Her blonde brownies, ruby red cake and fudge were legendary. Birthday dinners were highly anticipated events at her house. More than a few weddings and showers were brightened by her treats.Janet was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was a regular at grandparents days, recitals, soccer games, talent shows and graduations. She loved having her grandchildren visit and always had something fun to do and good to eat. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas Avenue, Dallas, Texas on , May 25th at 11:00. A reception will follow the service at 6214 Desco Drive. She was born May 12, 1934 on a family farm near Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Mamie Marie Schwiesow Lochmiller and Werner C. Lochmiller. She was raised on the family farm and received her elementary education in the rural schools, and then graduated from Denison High School. high school, she attended the University of Colorado and received a Bachelor of Science degree in in 1956. She and her family moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1964. She spent the majority of her life in Lubbock before moving a few years ago to San Antonio to be near her daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her three brothers, Leroy, Milford, and Alan Lochmiller. Obituary: Patrick Alan Locher, 17, of Victoria passed away , 18, 2010. He was born 13, 1992, in Victoria to Tim and Deborah Lucas Locher of Victoria. Patrick would have been a senior at Victoria East High School. He was a member of OLV Troop 364, and through his 13 years of scouting he earned the Arrow of Light, and recently received the highest honor of Eagle Scout. He was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church where he was active in the Youth Group. Patrick loved riding his motorcycle, water skiing, spending time with family and mentoring his cousins. He was an accomplished artist and loved to play guitar. He was a great friend and listener, had a wonderful sense of humor and a very infectious smile. He was the most wonderful son any parent could have ever wished for. graduation Patrick was looking forward to attending TSTC where he was going to pursue a degree in diesel mechanics. Survivors include his parents, Tim and Deborah Locher of Victoria; grandparents, Chester and Mary Ann Lucas of Cuero, David and Nellie Jo ann Locher of Victoria; a large extended family including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Lynn Marie Locher. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm , 20, 2010, at Rosewood Chapel. services will be at 1:00 pm , 21, 2010, at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, Rev. John Waak officiating.
