Obituary: Suzanne Kinard Linker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on 5, 2016, while surrounded by family and friends, ending a valiant, eight-year struggle with ovarian cancer. Suzanne leaves a wonderful legacy through her children and their families. She provided them with a strong foundation rooted in love, compassion and the importance of family and friends, and they all loved her very much. She was also an inspiration to her family in her unwavering approach to dealing with her cancer. Relying on her faith, she was consistently positive and upbeat and fought her illness with indomitable courage. Suzanne was born on 23, 1936, in Houston, Texas, to Julia and Claude Kinard, both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up in Gainesville, Texas, where she met her husband Don during junior high school. She attended Southern Methodist University, where she graduated in 1960. At SMU, Suzanne majored in piano performance and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. During college, she was active in her sorority and elected to various student offices. Suzanne and Don were married on 30, 1962. began their married life in Washington, D.C. where Don completed his last two years of training at the Office of Naval Intelligence. Later, while Don attended law school at American University, Suzanne studied with a concert pianist in Washington, D.C. living in Washington, D.C., Suzanne and Don returned to their native Texas where Don completed law school and Suzanne began teaching. moving to Houston, Suzanne taught music and piano at Mrs. Wagners School for over 15 years. Throughout her life, Suzanne loved to play the piano. She was an accomplished pianist who studied with three concert pianists before, during and after college, and she performed in and judged piano programs in various cities. In addition to her love of piano, Suzanne was an accomplished painter and artist. She loved painting pictures of places she had visited and nature scenes. Above all, Suzanne loved people. She had many long-time friends in Houston and Dallas and loved her many new dear friends at The Abbey where she and Don had moved recently. She was also very devoted to her family. Known as Mimi to her grandchildren, she loved being with them and often spent afternoons and weekends with her grandchildren playing games and just enjoying their company. meant the world to her. She is survived by her husband Don to whom she was married for 54 years; her son, John Kinard Linker and his wife Lisa Linker; her daughter, Alice Ann Linker Telle and her husband Michael S. Telle; her six grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Caroline Elizabeth Linker, John Alexander Jack Telle, Sarah Chandler Telle, William Jonathan Will Linker, Reed Hutson Telle and Suzanne Kinard Suzy Telle; her sister Jane Kinard Rexilius and her husband Larry Rex Rexilius; niece Cynthia Rexilius Starr and her children David and Michael; and nephew Rex Rexilius and his wife Michelle and their children Cameron, Shayna and Megan. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer , particularly Dr. Daniel D. Karp and Dr. Jubilee Brown; Becky Evans of LifePointe Hospice along with Janice Hoffman and her team; and the staff at The Abbey at Westminster Plaza. A funeral service celebrating Suzannes life will be held at 11:30 AM on , 9, 2016, in the Chapel at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood Road, Houston, Texas 77024. Obituary: Lillie Loritte Magee Linkenhoger, passed away on 25, 2016 in her sleep. She was born on 10, 1914 in San Marcos, Texas to I.B. and Mildred Magee and was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Edgar), sister (Zadie Moody) and brother (I.B. Magee, Jr.). She and her husband started Texas Star Oil , The Transport of Texas, Power Equipment , Star Tank and other endeavors. She and Edgar were always partners in everything they did. Their true love was ranching and all that it entailed. For many years Lillie could be seen driving her tractor, which she did until she was 95 on her ranch. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church, Esperanza Garden Club, Patrons of the Order of de Pineda and Corpus Christi Yacht Club. Although she spent most of her life at her ranch in Charlotte, Texas, Corpus Christi was always home. Her smile and happy disposition are two of her most memorable characteristics. Lillie is survived by her daughters, Norma Lee Stockseth and Patsy Brooks (Garnett), also six grandchildren, Steven Stockseth (Kimberly), Lee Stockseth (Carol), Mark Stockseth (Marshall), Tabor Brooks (Catherine), Lamar Brooks and Laura Grinstead (Carter), eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers, JoAnn Martinez and Esther Oropeza. A private family service is being planned. Obituary: Nelson Albert Linke, 87, passed away 2, 2016 in Missouri City. He was born 5, 1928 in Welcome to Leo John and Hilda Hill Linke. Nelson was baptized 23, 1930 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1945 and joined the US Navy in 1948, served 4 years in the Seabees (Construction Naval Battalion) whose motto was We Build-We Fight. Nelson served in San Diego, CA, Fort Monmouth, NJ., Enewatak (Marshall Islands), Amchitka (Aleutian Islands), and Kwajalein (Marshall Islands). the service he went to work for Shell Oil Co. (Deer Park Manufacturing Complex) in Deer Park retiring after 36 years as an Electrical Technical Specialist. Nelson attended University of Houston. He married Geraldine Dockal on May 2, 1953 at St Pauls Lutheran Church in Rosenberg by Rev. Hugo Probst. He was confirmed as an adult at First Lutheran Church in Pasadena by Rev. Fred C. Harms. Nelson was a member of First Lutheran Church in Pasadena for 35 years. He served on the church council for 26 years in various capacities. Nelson joined Peace Lutheran Church in Rosenberg in 1990. He also volunteered at Helping Hands. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Geraldine Dockal Linke, daughter, Cynthia Linke Jenkins and husband Jerry, granddaughters, Amanda Popp and husband Tim, Chelsea Jenkins, great grandchildren, Ashton, Hunter, Brayden and Addison Popp along with numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bernice Christ, brothers-in-law Herman Christ and Roger Dockal and sister-in-law, LaVerne Dockal. services will be held , 6, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church, 1026 Radio Lane @ Avenue I, in Rosenberg with Rev. Obituary: Adolph E. Linke, age 98, passed away , 9, 2015. He was born 20, 1916 in Frelsburg, Colorado , Texas to the late Louis and Marie Schmidt Linke. He served his country in the U S Army during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Rifleman and Field Lineman with the 314th Infantry Regiment. He was also an Interpreter for the unit, helping interrogate German prisoners and civilians in combat zones. His family was very proud of his service, and he loved to share his military war experiences with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. returning from WWII, he went to work as a Gauger for Sun Oil . He retired after working for over 45 years. He was also a rancher and liked to work his cattle. He enjoyed gardening, and spending his time with his family. He was very special to them and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his sons, Olin (Gola) Linke of Plano and Leonard (Carolyn) Linke of Victoria; daughters, Joys Linke Baird of Carmine and Sue (Joe) Coffey of Bloomington; and brother-inlaw, Otis Shiller of Bloomington. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren: Cecil and Sue Linke Jr. (Kristen and Cecil III), Suzette and John Villarreal (Alexis, Avery, Wyatt), Clint and Stephanie Linke (Austin), Wesley and Marne Baird (Megan, Logan, Dylan), Darrell and Jenny Baird (Emma), Stephanie and Kevin Ward (Landen, Caden), Joe and Tammy Coffey (Katelynn, Kaleb), Shawn and Kevin Little (Haylie, Dawson, Sam, Kate, Dillon), Paul and Christie Linke (Lacey, Kimber, Laurel), Treacie and Travis Smart (Corrie, Savanna, Kyle, Ali, Maddie) and Rachel and Javier Ospina (Claudia, Nicolas). He was preceded in death by parents; wives, Violet Shiller Linke and Regina Beck Linke; daughter, Debbie Corliss; grandson, Ricky Corliss; brothers, Eddie Linke, Charlie Linke, Albert Linke and Leo Linke; sisters, Alma Schultz, Tillie Schultz, Lizzie Lindermann and Lena Buxkemper; and special friend and companion, Bernice Pruitt.
