Obituary: Andrew M. Letier

(1932-2016)

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Andrew Andy Letier, passed away 18, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Andy was proud of his Italian heritage. He learned the value of hard work early, and after serving his country in the US Army from 1953-1956, he started his first business. In 1968, he moved the family to Texas, and settled in Irving. An ambitious entrepreneur, Andy started a textile business in Dallas, serving the residential, hospitality and healthcare markets for over 50 years. The company employed a large staff, whom Andy loved, mentored and treated like an extended family.
During his time in the military, Andy married the love of his life, Rosemarie. The pair celebrated 61 years of marriage this year, a testament to their enduring and faithful love. And while Andy loved so many, he loved none more deeply than she, and there is no one with whom he would have rather spent his time. Andy and Rosemarie welcomed three children, Donna, Scott and Chris. To Andy, the most important thing in life was family. He was fiercely devoted to providing a wonderful life for those he loved and he leaves behind an enduring legacy of love. Andy was an avid golfer, and loved hitting the links with his golf buddies. A proud Italian-American, he was known for his homemade pasta, a tradition shared with future generations.
He is survived by wife Rosemarie, daughter Donna Letier North and grandsons Donald Andrew North and Dominic Jordan North; son Scott and wife Donna, and granddaughters Madison and Jillian King; daughter Chris Martin and husband Lance Martin, and grandchildren Alyssa Rose Martin and Grant Andrew Martin. Andy touched many lives and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
