Obituary: Marilyn D. Ladewig, 59 of Bryan, TX died at 5:50 a.m. on , 1, 2015 at a local Bryan hospital. She was born on 15, 1956 in Fayette , Texas to Gus and Hattie Ladewig. The family moved to Bryan, Texas where Marilyn graduated from Bryan High School. She attended McKenzie Baldwin and celebrated her 35th anniversary with Anco Insurance this year. Marilyn enjoyed her work and made many lifelong friends through the years. She was a loyal and trusted employee with a knack for remembering anything, everything and some things you wish she had forgotten. Her experience was invaluable to the Anco accounting department and she spent many hours, including weekends, doing whatever it took to get the job done. Marilyn, like her mother, had a soft spot for stray animals and a particular fondness for cats. She and her mom spent many an hour driving Hoppy, an eccentric three legged cat, around in the car because he loved sightseeing. Marilyn is preceded in death by her father Gus Ladewig and her mother, Hattie Ladewig. She is survived by her beloved cats, Vernie and Chico and her Anco family. Services will be held at Memorial in Bryan on , 4th at 2 p.m. Visitation is scheduled for one hour before the service. Interment will immediately follow at the Bryan City . Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or your local animal shelter. |

Obituary: LADENSOHN Kenneth Roland Ladensohn, 78, passed away at home afernoon, 25, 2002. He was born 20, 1923 in Chilicothe, Missouri to Sam and Lucile Ladensohn and grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Ken earned an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated as a second lieutenant with a B.S. in civil engineering in 1945. On graduation day, Ken married Jean Katz, whom he had met in San Antonio the summer of 1942. During the next nine years, they moved 14 times to Army assignments in Germany, Utah, Texas, Georgia, New Mexico and California, where Ken earned a M.S. in meteorology from U.C.L.A. In 1954, he and Jean moved with their three children to San Antonio, where Ken joined his in-laws at Katz Oil . He co-founded KLN Steel Products , a manufacturer of institutional furniture, in 1964, serving as president from its inception until 1991, then as chairman and CEO until his death. Ken was active in many community organizations, serving as president of Golden Manor Jewish for the Aged, and Any Baby Can of San Antonio. Ken loved music, hunting, fishing, traveling and snorkeling, but his greatest passion was golf. He loved the game, the varied courses, the jokes and most of all, the great friends he made. Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Katz Ladensohn, their children, Sydney L. Stern of New York City, AnnDee L. Steidel and David Ladensohn; grandchildren Ken Stern of Brooklyn, NY, Eliza Ladensohn of Los Angeles, Toby Stern of Philadelphia and Jane Steidel; children-in-law Jon Stern, Jim Steidel and Claudia Ladensohn; and his sister, Phyllis Schoener.
