Obituary: Faye Leggett, 77 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on , 30, 2014, at The Highlands Of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Born , 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jack Long and the late Alice Bowers Long. She was a retired employee of Sun-Agri Incorporated. Graveside services will be 12:00 PM on at Fairview in Newbern, Tennessee, with Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Don Leggett of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sons, Gary Leggett of Middle City, Tennessee and Doug Leggett of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Cindy Majusick of ville, Ohio and Kim Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Roscoe Long of Cleveland, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Amy Stinac, Tommy Fleming, Joshua Smith, Felicia Leggett and Dakota Smith; three step-grandchildren, David Ciriclio, Raymond Ciriclio and Merinda Lawrence and two great-grandchildren, Holland and Brailee Fleming. Obituary: Ida Christine Adams Griffin Legge, 95, entered into eternal peace on 12, 2013, at Germantown Methodist Hospital. She was born 19, 1917, in Mason, TN, to Mary Sherrill and William Benjamin Adams and was a descendent of Katherine Boone Sherrill Sevier, first lady of the first governor of Tennessee. Ida was a graduate of Byars Hall, Covington, TN, and a local business college in Memphis. She worked as a bookkeeper, office manager, and accountant for Quaker Oats, Boy Scouts of America, and Central States Dredging, retiring at age 81 from Metal Rolling, Inc., where she worked for 30 years. Ida was a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, where she taught School, served on the LWML Faith Guild and Altar Guild, and sang in the choir for many years. She also volunteered for the Mid South District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and until this past in the office of Christ the King Lutheran. Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrus Raymond Buddy Legge, in 1984. She leaves behind her sons, William Bill Baxter Griffin (Beate) of Memphis, James Jim Sherrill Griffin (Donna) of Barton, MS, Tyrus R. Ty Legge, Jr. and Gene Hayden of Memphis; grandchildren, Michelle Stanford (Terry), Tiffany Holman (Dudley); great-grandchildren, Griffin, Will, Max and Christian; and her beloved precious grand dog, CoCo. Known to many as Miz Ida, Tissie, Momma Legge, and Mumsie, she led a full, satisfying life. She never missed a party and loved being with her family and friends, especially for special occasions at Chez Phillippe, Paulette's, Frank Grisanti's, Napa Cafe, Macaroni Grill and Colettas on S. Parkway, where her favorite was that onion pizza!!! We also can leave out the nightly glass of wine and the weekend Manhattan. We will forever cherish the memory of the legacy she leaves behind: her kindness and graciousness, her love for family and friends, her hard work and diligence, and her quiet yet strong faith. "This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it" was a favorite verse of Idas and the motto she lived by. The family extends its appreciation and gratitude to Germantown Methodist Hospital and the Allen Morgan Rehabilitation for the loving care she received and to the friends and clergy of Christ the King Lutheran Church and St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral who have ministered to Ida and her family for many years.
