Obituary: Steve Hershel Lake of Pulaski passed away on , 29, 2014 at St. Thomas West in Nashville. He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on 14, 1938 and was 75. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a member of First Baptist Church in Pulaski, and veteran of the Alabama National Guard. He was a former publisher of the Cookville Herald-Citizen, Carthage Courier, and Pulaski Citizen and former president of the Tennessee Press Association. Visitation will be on , 30th from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles . Visitation will be on 1st at 10:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Pulaski with Rev. Tony Gomillion officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood . Memorials are suggested to Martin Methodist , First Baptist Church Building Fund, Giles Library, or the charity of your choice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Carroll Lake and Mary Catherine. He is survived by his, Wife of 50 years, Geraldine Vaughn Lake of Pulaski Son, Steven Charles (Kathy) Lake of Pulaski Son, David Christopher (Sloan) Lake of Pulaski Grandchildren, Anslee, C.J., Addie and Madeline Brothers, Arthur and Mike of Alabama Sister, Elaine of Alabama Several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive Bennett-May-Giles in charge of arrangements for Steve Hershel Lake. |

Obituary: Catherine Roberta (Nanna) LaJuett went home to the Lord, 28th. She was a resident at Kindred & Rehabilitation-Fairpark for over five years due to Alzheimers disease. For nearly 20 years the disease destroyed her memories, her freedom, quality of life and ultimately her life. She was a member of Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church for years until she was disabled by the disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy LaJuett, Sr., of nearly 45 years. A devoted wife and helpmate, she raised five children and dedicated her life to her family. Survived by her daughters Sheri LaJuett and Lori LaJuett Daniels; her sons Buddy, Jr. and wife Alice; Jeffery and wife Anita, and Joseph. She was the proud Nanna of 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, , 1, 2015 at Smith East Hall with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Clifton Hearon of Maple Grove Baptist Church officiating. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 3:00 PM, , 1, 2015 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to: Fairpark Walk Team for Alzheimers Tennessee.
