Obituary: Sybil Lesley - Greenville, SC Sybil Masters Lesley, 75, of 219 Botany Road, wife of Roy J. Lesley, died , 11, 2007, at Greenville Hospital System North Greenville Medical Campus. Born May 31, 1932, she was a daughter of Leila McGimpsey Masters of Easley and the late Alonzo Floyd Masters. Mrs. Lesley was a Certified Professional Secretary and was active in the National Secretaries Association, now the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She was retired from Iveys department store and J.E. Sirrine Co. She was of the Methodist faith. Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years and her mother are her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and John Owings; two grandsons, Matthew Owings and Christopher Owings; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Vonnie and Jim Wylie, Pat and Waymon Knox, and Lynda and Wayne Duncan; her brothers and sister-in-law, Randy Masters and Rick and Celeste Masters; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lesley was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Sloan. services will be at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Robinson in downtown Easley, with the Rev. Carlton Cleveland officiating. Obituary: Myrtle Woodbury Lesley, 91, passed away 1, 2015 after an illness. She was born 25, 1923 in Fayetteville, NC. Her parents were Evander and Annie Miller Woodbury. Formerly a long-time resident of Conway, she had lived at the Bethea Baptist Retirement Community in Darlington since 1999. She was a graduate of Bennettsville High School and the Conway Hospital School of Practical . She was a retired licensed practical nurse, having worked at Conway Hospital and Mullins Hospital. She had been a member of Conway First Baptist Church for 67 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cyrus Lesley. Surviving are two daughters: Avice Ward (Dale) of Duncanville, TX and Marlene Johnson(Thomas) of Conway; three grandchildren: Lauren Hammonds, Alex Ward(Rebecca), and Drew Johnson (Lindsay); and five great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends on , 6, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, Conway, SC in the church parlor. Obituary: Myraline Lesley - Easley, SC Myraline Lesley, 81, of 501 Zion Church Road, died , 9, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Pickens , a daughter of the late James Garfield and Myrtrie Idella Foster Lesley, Miss Lesley retired as staff manager with South Central Bell in 1980 after which she was a Registered Parliamentarian. She belonged to the National Association of Parliamentarians and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and was a member of the church choir. Surviving is a sister, Sylvia Owen of Easley. In addition to her parents, Miss Lesley was predeceased by six brothers, Ira Lesley, Tate Lesley, Daniel Lesley, Cyrus Lesley, J.G. Lesley and Hugh Lesley; and a sister, Cora Hunter. services will be 2:00 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Elders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and honorary escort. Obituary: Michael Joe “Mike” Lesley, 65, passed from this life on , 1, 2015 at his home in Easley. Mike was born in Richland , SC, a son of the late James Garfield and Ruth Woods Lesley. He was a 1968 graduate of Easley High School and Clemson University where he also received his Master’s Degree in mathematics. Mike was retired from The School District of Pickens where he taught math at Easley High School. Prior to returning to Easley, he taught at a Junior High School in Greenwood. He remained an avid Clemson supporter through IPTAY and attending football games at Death Valley. Survivors include his brother, James H. Lesley (Janice) of Easley, his sisters, Brenda Breeden (Darrell) of Woodruff, and Gwen Bagwell (Steve) of Easley. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 PM , 5, 2015 at Zion United Methodist Church in Easley with funeral services following at 2 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
