Obituary: Beulah M. Little, age 92, of Wellston, passed away , 20, 2017 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 12, 1924 in Wolf Pit, Kentucky to the late Lonza J. Ratliff and Tennessee Kinney Ratliff. Beulah was the former owner and operator, along with her husband, of Littles Grocery in Hamden. She was a high school graduate who was proud of the fact that she was a school teacher during World War II. During her earlier years when her health permitted, Beulah enjoyed cooking, quilting and working in her flower gardens. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Grand Chapter #207 in Wilkesville and attended the former Wills Chapel Church. Beulah is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Saundra and Jerold Allman of Hamden and Sharon and Charlie Ruckel of Hamden; 6 grandchildren, Avery Allman, Vivian Radabaugh (Bryan), Betsy Allman (Jon), Tobi Ruckel (Marie), Travis Ruckel (Shawna) and Josh Ruckel (Bethany); 12 great-grandchildren, Tori, Brett, Megan, Hannah, Zoe, Ty, Jenna, Rowan, Reese, Tanner, Devon and River; brother, Forrest Ratliff of Oakwood, Va.; sister, Shelvia Little (Don) of Pikeville, Ky., as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Beulah was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband, Otis Little, whom she married on 18, 1945; and siblings, Gladys Helton, Aubrey Ratliff and Auburn Ratliff. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams in Wellston. service will be at 1 P.M. at the McWilliams with Pastor David McKnight officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamden . |
