Obituary: Lori Lynn Laukhart, 53, passed away unexpectedly from a sudden illness on , 28, 2016 at University of Pittsburgh Medical in Pittsburgh. She was born on 17, 1963 in Warren, Ohio, daughter of Faye (Meranda) Laukhart and the late, Richard Allen Laukhart. Lori was a remarkable woman; a loving daughter, an amazing mother, proud memaw, sister, aunt, and a best friend to many. She was known as a giver and someone who was always kind and selfless. Her family describes her as everything. Lori had a large heart which she gave openly to so many people and animals. She did more in her life in her short 53 years than most people have the opportunity to do in a lifetime. She will be missed dearly by so many. Lori graduated from Warren Western Reserve in 1981 and then went on to graduate from Kent State University with a Bachelor in Biology. She was employed at Idexx in Boardman where she worked as the Lead Technologist. Lori was active in countless charities, organizations, and groups over the years. She was the founder and coach of the Boot Scootin Buckeyes (BSB) a Trumbull 4-H Equine Drill team who has won five International Championships, three National Championships and many other awards. She was a horse trainer, advisor and mentor to many. She organized her familys fantasy football league, was a huge fan of the Cavs, Browns and Buckeyes and was a 4-H advisor. Lori loved all animals, especially her horses and dogs, and enjoyed barrel racing, trail riding and attending doggie bootcamps. Lori was instrumental in creating the We Support Our Police signs in Cortland and was even featured with the Police Chief in the newspaper and on training material. Lori always put 100% into anything and everything that she was a part of. She is survived by her children, Brittany Scott, Jennifer Corley, Amanda (Jose) Leal and Jayde (Dawn) Corley; mother, Faye Laukhart; grandchildren, Noah and Isabella Leal and Lucas and Georgia Corley; brother, Robert Kent Laukhart; nieces, Carla (Adam) Cornatzer and Marie (Richard) Grimes; nephew, David (Cindy) Greer; her pets, Boo Boo the chihuahua, Bailey the golden retriever, and Dollar and Molly the horses; and an endless number of adopted kids, close friends and people who held her dearly in their hearts. Lori was preceded in death by her father, Richard Allen Laukhart on 9, 2014 and by her sister, Barbara Jean Laukhart Woods in 1988. Calling hours will be held on , 1, 2016 at the Lane Family s, Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at the funeral home on following the calling hours beginning at 7:00 PM with Pastor David Vensel officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loris family. Monies will be divided evenly between two of Loris favorite groups, the Boot Scootin Buckeyes (BSB) and the Dreaming of 3 (DO3). |
