Obituary: Eve Jackson London, age 60, of Birmingham passed away on , 12, 2017, after a 22-year battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her beloved children, Mitchell (Allison), Jack (Sarah) and Ivey London, and her husband of 33 years, Gary London, as well as her father, Ivey Jackson, her brother Ben Jackson (Susan) and his son, Ben.

Eves attitude, humor and spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her, but especially to other cancer survivors. However, she was determined not to let her life be defined by cancer. She was one of the first kindergarten teachers in the Mountain Brook school system, an amateur photographer, videographer, calligrapher, youth sports documentarian, scrapbooker, early technology adopter, stonecutter, computer guru to her clueless friends and family, Boykin Spaniel lover and world traveler. Her Christmas cards were the stuff of legend. The role she cherished most, though, was wife and mother to the children of whom she was so endlessly proud.

The Londons extend their deepest thanks to her caregivers Allison Hillary and Geraldine Chapman, St. Vincents Hospice and Eves many family and friends- especially her best friend Camie Griffin - who selflessly cared for Eve and filled her days with smiles. A special thanks goes to Dr. Carla Falkson, oncologist at UAB Comprehensive Cancer , who for 14 years was a regular dispenser of medical miracles and human kindness.

A Memorial Service will take place on 17, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook , with reception in Graham Hall following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation or the UAB Comprehensive Cancer .
