Obituary: Linda F. Lind, 63, went to be with the Lord on , 1, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Miami, FL and moved to Birmingham, AL for college and graduated from UAB in nursing. In 1975 she married the love of her life Steve and they were happily married for 40 years. She went on to work at Childrens Hospital and Brookwood Hospital where she retired in 2012. She & her husband Steve enjoyed spending their free time at their condo in Stillwaters at Lake Martin. She loved watching her Auburn Tigers Football and working out. Linda was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, friends, and her Boston Terrier, Lily. Her three grandsons brought her so much happiness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Lind is preceded in death by her son, Donald Lind; and by her parents, Donald Freeman, Jr. and Louanna Freeman. She is survived by her husband, Steve Lind; daughter, Michelle Olson (Keith); brothers, Don Freeman (Cathy) and Bill Freeman (Jean); sister, Terri Olson (Dan); grandchildren, Parker, Cole and Mason Olson; sisters-in-law, Robin McCay (Joe) and Jenny White; and nieces and nephews, Meredith, Matt, Brooke, Nick and Sydni. The celebration of Lindas life will be at 3pm on , 5, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on evening at Southern Heritage . Obituary: Richard James Lincoln - passed victoriously from this earthly life to his eternal life with Jesus and his Father God on , 9, 2010. He was 85. Born 11, 1925, he married Margie Louise Hill on 24, 1946. From that union, four children were born- Robert Donald, Charlotte Celeste, Barbara Ann, and Michael Clark. Richard served in the Army National Guard from 1947-49. He was a heavy weapons instructor. He worked for Chevron Oil and retired from there in 1985 after 32 years. that, he served as a Brand Ambassador/Key Advocate for Chevron Oil. He also loaned his services as President of the Chevron Retirees Association. Richard had many lifelong accomplishments, but his greatest achievement was his commitment to follow Jesus. This commitment led him to serve as a deacon, elder, song leader, preacher, and teacher in various churches of Christ in the Mobile area. He was also a published author. He was instrumental in the Restoration Movement, working to bring about unity among those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. He was a strong believer in Christian education, which prompted his involvement in Mobile Christian, Lads to Leaders program, and Faulkner University, where he established a Faculty Loan Fund. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard J. and Lily Mae Lincoln; his two sisters, Dorothy and Betty; and the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Margie. Richard is survived by his children, Bobby Lincoln (Judy), Charlotte Livingston (Larry), Barbara Howell (Tim), and Michael Lincoln (Shelley); 13 grandchildren, Fred Lincoln (Daphne), Jenny Livingston Oakes (Jerry), Sheri Livingston Birmingham (Barry), Tracy Lincoln (Kathy), Monica Howell Butts (Thad), Alex Lincoln (Leann), Nathan Lincoln (Kacie), Crystal Howell Belallah (Maher), Laura Lincoln Campbell (Jeffrey), Sarah Lincoln Tappe (Sean), Alison Lincoln Mosher (Michael), Matthew Lincoln, and Emily Lincoln; 22 great-grandchildren, Cole and Kellen Lincoln, Blake, Brooke, and Berklee Birmingham, Ann Marie Lincoln, Lincoln and Philip Butts, Matyson, Matylyn, Michael, and Malachi Lincoln, MacKenzie Howell, Ramy and Yassine Belallah, Payton, Caleb, Seth, and Hannah Campbell, Anabelle Tappe, Elisha and Gideon Mosher and two soon to be born. Richard was well-known for his wit and humor and will be long remembered for his saying, Right is right and wrong is wrong, and nobody has the right to do wrong, which was recited at every VBS he attended and to his children. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert W. Israel for his friendship and professional care of our mother and father. We are also grateful to Wiregrass Hospice, especially Matt, Bernice, and Nell.
